Carter Posted May 13, 2009 Report Posted May 13, 2009 Just wondering if there were any fellow photographers in the group! Quote
beefche Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 I like to pretend that I'm one. I enjoy trying to find a different angle or view of my subject--usually flowers or buildings. After attending my friend's daughter's basketball tourney, I discovered that I don't do well with subjects that move. I just couldn't get a good shot of her playing. When she shot foul shots, I had some good pics! Quote
Justice Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 I studied it when I was younger. It's been a while, though. Quote

tubaloth Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 (edited) If you have seen my pictures you can tell I try to do some photography. I don't have all the equpment. I actually was going to start a thread about this Tilt Shift photography that I found the other day. This guy actually puts videos together of his Tilt Shift Metal Heart on Vimeo (This is the one I saw and is one of the best). You think this is done with model cars but its not!If you don't know what Tilt Shift is, its where they kind of blur, or make part of the picture out of foucus. It then tricks your eyes into thinking you are looking at some smaller model or something. There is even this website tiltshiftmaker.com - Transform your photos into tilt-shift style miniaturesthat lets you take your photos and make them Tilt shift. I didn't have really any good pictures that look down on something. I did try it with one picture of the Manti Temple and it does look pretty good (Makes it look like a model of the temple). Have fun! Edited May 14, 2009 by tubaloth Quote
rameumptom Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 Yes. I especially enjoy nature photography. I have a few shots that I'm very proud of. I've shot a couple weddings for friends in the past, but don't really enjoy posed shots much. I more enjoy using the telephoto to zoom in on those not expecting it. Quote
