I was beginning to wonder why these jokers are allowed to post in this forum, since they are so opposed to LDS teachings. Their anti remarks are typical of the hate network I left to come here.

What I said is that when you go on your binges you post 50 to 70 times a day and most of those posts are comprised are nothing more of endless quote of other posters followed by one line sarcasm or mindless agreements. When you post like that, it ruins the flow of the threads and wastes bandwidth.

What purpose does it serve to misstate what I said? As a Mormon a little more focus on honesty would be in order.

This is the kind of mindless prattle that is just an embarrassment to our Faith. Someone disagrees with you (even if they are factually correct) and instead of addressing the substance of their posts, you label them with an over-utilized and misunderstood monikers and so think to dismiss them.

Mormons are better educated than the norm but you wouldn't know it to read some of the blather here.

If there is anything that I have posted that is false, a little less insipid one-line insults from you and a little more explanation of why or how I am wrong would be in order.

Frankly, from what I have seen, you aren't capable of doing much beyond posting one-line retorts and resorting to labels and insults. I'm not hopeful.

Some of the newer posters seem to be jumping on the sarcastic bandwagon though. A bit discouraging when we're looking for something better here.

wow! Have I been in the dark? What is all this?? I thought this was a discussion board to express ourselves and just because you don't like the way someone does it --it is not a good enough reason to jab at them. We are all free to express ourselves and though some may take that to mean more in depth discussion than others--WHO are YOU or I to judge? It is your choice to respond or not to what has been posted. More tolerance and Christ like love is what is needed here. If we want the weight of the world, we can go out side our homes for that, but here you are invited into our homes so we need to be appropriate in how we deal with one another.

I do remember that a lot of what Please posts tend to not contribute anything to the thread. Please (although others do this too), will post something along the lines of "I agree" only doing it in a much longer (and therefore even more useless) sentence.

This "useless drivel" is known as spam. Spam has a name since it hurts boards, and when it is allowed to run amok, it kills them. Before we post spam, we must remember that (at least to my knowledge) Heather has no way to make money other than by what she gets from this site. If we allow people to spam (those that do it consistently are called spammers) we'll bankrupt Heather. People will leave since the board is so full of spammers and with less traffic, Heather gets fewer ads for the site until eventually the site is so slow that advertising agencies don't want to post on her site anymore since it doesn't recieve enough traffic for the price that they would pay her.

You just watch, as soon as this site starts putting up pop up advertising or advertising that sends you to a screen with the advertisement before you can finally get to the thread you wanted to look at, that will mean that the site is dieing. I've seen it happen.

And I'm not saying no to just Please. If I say I want Please to go I also want a whole slew of other people to go to. I don't like spammers other than the fact that they make me look good.

You do make a good point .......And i do tend to do the oneliners ...sorry if it has a bad effect......I think some of us just want that person to know as simple as possible that we agree or dont agree, But i can see what you are saying and i myself will try to be less one linery ( how was that was it long enough?)

As a bystander to this particular sideshow, let me just agree with Snow on his assertion. I did not see anywhere where he asked Please to stop posting. He merely asked her to respect the valuable bandwidth on this site by refraining from quoting another's post and adding a one- or two-line zinger on the end without addressing anything being said in the quote. I personally don't enjoy going to a thread and seeing brackets within brackets within brackets within brackets within brackets and seeing only one or two lines of back and forth jabs between people with no substance being shared.

When Please puts her mind to it, she has some good insights on the gospel and the church to share. But when she goes negative on people, the conversation stops and just gets ugly. Please, I want you to stay on the board. But I would also agree with Snow's request that you not post just to get the all-time record for number of posts without also trying to go for the record of having the most thought-provoking ones as well. You have a lot to add to this board, but it is difficult to dredge through the sheer volume of your posts to get to the good stuff. And Jason, you should know better by now than to egg her on by antagonizing her. As a somewhat regular here, I would appreciate it if you would limit your cheap shots at the church to the dark side of this website, which was pretty much created with you in mind as I understand things.

I find it amazing that some people can be rude but if you try and defend yourself then you hear about it,........I see a few that are rude and some that are vulgar and some that have complained have been very rude to others but yet will call others out on it .......

I see some that don't practice what they preach........And yes i'm exspecting some rude comments from this and it wont surprise me, just remember if you do say something rude you should not jump on others who do. yes i know i have said rude things and am sorry...but not at rude as calling some one dumb or simple minded (which i asked in one post who is simple mined here!) not intending to be rude but asking? the size of some ones post should not matter.......when you say kick her out cause her post aren't that long remember some of your posts are way to long and should you get kicked out for taking up space and making it so we cant get to the next post fast enough.........You are picking on some one for something way to stupid .......Now get over it and lets move on!

This is suppose to be an LDS site and a clean, decent place for all of us to come chat, discuss, or whatever, in a safe environment. Not all of us, but, I think, most of us are LDS and I would hate to invite someone to this site that I was introducing to the church and have them see how we treat one another. Maybe we all need to practice our religion alittle more and contend with one another alittle less.

We can come to these forums and discuss what is on our minds or that we have an interest in without putting one another down and belittling each other.

Notice they are not slamming boards or debating boards even. They are discussion boards. Everyone should have a right to give their opinion and if we disagree or don't like what is said, can we not be adults about it and treat each other with some respect. We can discuss a subject without name calling and attacking each other.

When I come here, it is because I wish to relax, see what people are discussing, and maybe post an opinion or two of my own. I don't come to argue or find fault with others. These boards should be a place for us to explore each others ideas without picking each other or the ideas apart.

We sound like a bunch of little children arguing among ourselves and calling each other names and blaming everyone else. Let's grow up and act like adults.

Really. I think there are more ways to get people to leave than just say... I want you to leave. By you posts you have as much as said my posts say nothing and to not post. If that is not telling me to leave, I don't know what is.
