bcguy Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 Interesting article! Seems the 7th day Adventist may outlive lds. While they share most common life style themes as us such as no smoking, drinking etc, they are vegetarians? I went to a Canada day breakfast celebration at church today. All I saw was pastries, muffins, pancakes sausage and orange juice. no Fruits! other then orange juice! I have never seen physical activities among the middle aged, or talk of food related heath discussions. Who will live to 100? Genes may tell - CNN.com Quote

Elgama Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 who wants to live to over 100 anyway? ultimately the goal of life is to return to our Heavenly Father, like Cardinal Basil Hume's friend said when he told him he was terminal - congratulations:) Whilst it is a good possibility I might (all sides of my family despite high bp, smoking like chimnies, drinking alcohol like it was going out of fashion etc and living at one point in a city where thier life expectancy was in their 20s, have produced loads of people who lived into their mid to late 90s), not all together sure its a blessing Quote
pam Posted July 2, 2010 Report Posted July 2, 2010 My grandparents were strict 7th Day Adventists and they weren't vegetarians. Quote
beefche Posted July 2, 2010 Report Posted July 2, 2010 So, pam, tell us your secret to long life..... Quote
beefche Posted July 2, 2010 Report Posted July 2, 2010 (edited) Ha! You just try it, missy! You would come crawling back and begging for my affectionate tongue! The tongue wins all! And I thought we had decided to use a poll for this decision..... Edited July 2, 2010 by beefche Quote
pam Posted July 2, 2010 Report Posted July 2, 2010 I thought we discussed that we wouldn't do the poll because I was afraid I was the one that would be voted off the island. Quote
