Cassiopeia Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 Okay, first I would make darn sure to let Pres. Monson know that the Lord isn't mad at me at all <-meOf course, if God asked ME to kill somebody, I'd wanna see the getaway car first. I'm just sayin'...LOL. Where's the laugh button when you need one. It wouldn't happen that way because it didn't happen that way in the Book of Mormon. If the prophet had a problem with the mayor, he could go through legal channels. Laman first just asked for the plates. Then if that didn't work, he would offer a deal with the mayor - Lemuel offered money and riches. Then if the mayor took the deal and didn't follow through with his word, he is different from a king, so Pres Monson would probably encourage the police or a law firm to go after the mayor. We live in a freer country than Nephi's time. I am assuming that Laban wasn't accountable for stealing their riches and then trying to kill them. Now if President Monson were dealing with an evil dictator that was ruthless, dangerous, and could do whatever cruel things he wanted to Pres Monson with no recourse for him, and Pres Monson was trying to get the only scripture set that existed on the earth, with no other copies, and chopped off the dictator's head with a machete and ran away, I would say, "Good for President Monson for having the courage to do something so frightening and repulsive to him, for the greater good of the world."Some might think the mayor or other public officials to be evil dictators? I'm just sayin'. Quote
Dove Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 · Hidden Hidden I tried to count the personal insults in that post but ran out of fingers. Go chase some squirrels and then look up what it is called when a person does what they accuse another of doing. That's the best you can come up with Snow? Chasing squirrels and then accusing you of doing to others what I'm doing to you?! LOL. No Snow, I don't need to go chase squirrels to get what you do to others on this forum on a regular basis; which is exactly what I said in my first post to you on this thread, insulting, offending and baiting. I've read what you've done on other threads to other people and it comes down to simply offending and digging at them. What a joke, I could easily break down your retorts towards others into what a grade school bully would say to those he was bullying at recess. Like the one you just said.......May as well have said, I'm rubber, you're glue, whatever you say bounces off me and sticks on you.....LOL!Yeah, it upsets me that you so easily take potshots at the people commenting around you with out any repercussions to you for doing so. What "in" do you have to be able to do this?!
Dove Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 · Hidden Hidden Not that I'm a fan of Snow's and I can't believe I'm about to ask this, but are you saying he shouldn't be here if he's losing or lost faith? Because I can't think of a better place for someone to talk about that. Or are you saying he should go somewhere else because of his contentious approach to discussion and debate?Hello Cassiopeia;I'm saying he should go somewhere else because of his contentious approach to discussion and debate.I do have mixed feelings over what I've written to Snow. There's a part of me that feels that I've lowered myself to his standards by writing as I've written, and I feel bad for doing so. Another side of me is angry and tired of what he's doing to so many other people on the forum...I've actually looked up Snow's recent threads to people generally on the forum. He often says things to get people defensive and hurt. I've already contacted the moderators about it and have yet to get a response. It seems Snow can have a free for all in lashing out at other people without any repercussion, and this confuses me.Dove

You're headed for being banned if you openly criticize the moderators on forums, even if it is because you are tired of the fighting and bullying going on and have good intentions. I know, it's ridiculous and I have had enough, too. Now I am going to wait to get banned because apparently, I am a big jerk but Snow isn't.
Moksha Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 Wasn't it Saint Socrates who said, "The unexamined faith is not worth believing"? Snow assists in that examination. :) Quote
