Wingnut Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 Here's another one along the same lines: , which I found while reading this article several weeks ago: The Body Odd - Why we miss what's right in front of us Quote
Mahone Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 (edited) Something along the same lines as this thread. I usually walk the last three miles of my journey home from work each evening to get a bit of exercise, and on part of the walk there is a four way roundabout which has a pedestrian crossing on three of the sides. There is picture of it in the link below. In the Uk, a pedestrian crossing means by law that the pedestrian has right of way exclusively. The amount of times I've almost been hit by cars where the pedestrians are crossing in the picture, as they are trying to look at multiple places simultaneously and fail to notice that there is either a pedestrian or a pedestrian crossing in front of them. I even had one woman who held her hand on her horn and swore at me as I was crossing in front of her as she tried to drive forward, as if it was me that was in the wrong.B57QU - Google Maps Edited September 4, 2010 by Mahone Quote
