Bini Posted December 10, 2010 Report Posted December 10, 2010 I forgot to tell everyone how fantastic Disney's Tangled was! Hubby and I don't have kids but we thoroughly enjoyed it! Easily the best Disney animated movie in years hands down. In comparison to Mega Mind which is also showing, Tangled was leaps and bounds more entertaining and satisfying. I'd say if you liked the charm of How To Train Your Dragon, you're going to really love this one. We saw it in 3D which I highly recommend because they really utilize the 3D effect throughout the whole movie. Just a beautiful film with a great storyline and stunning graphics. I realise it's not a Christmas-sy film but it's uplifting :] Quote
Dr T Posted December 10, 2010 Report Posted December 10, 2010 We didn't see it in 3D but it was a movie the wife and kids loved. Quote
Guest Posted December 10, 2010 Report Posted December 10, 2010 I've seen it 3 times already - once in 3D, once in IMAX, and once in regular movie. Yes, 3D is the best way to see that movie. I LOVE THAT MOVIE. The guy there is completely my husband's personality! :) Quote
sweetiepie Posted December 11, 2010 Report Posted December 11, 2010 I saw it with the kids (and I grew up with Ariel and Beauty and the Beast) and have finally found a Disney princess movie up to the same caliber!! Don't get me started with how horrible the Princess and the Frog is. Anatess, I can't figure it out...what is your avatar pic of?? :) Quote

Anatess, I can't figure it out...what is your avatar pic of?? :)I think her avatar is a snake tank? For some reason I have this memory of her talking about having a snake as a pet? I could be wrong though. Very well could be a fishy tank. Or not a tank at all!? Back on topic. Yes, great Disney film. I highly recommend it for just about anyone, though, I will say that there are certain concepts within the storyline that are pretty "heavy". Like.. the extremely manipulative and dysfunctional relationship between mother and daughter. Talk about psychological mind games! Quote
captmoroniRM Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 Saw it last friday. The Lantern scene is amazing in 3d. Quote
Bini Posted December 12, 2010 Author Report Posted December 12, 2010 Saw it last friday. The Lantern scene is amazing in 3d.Aww yes. One of my favourite parts in the movie. Like I said, it's best to watch in 3D but I have heard from others that even if you watch it in regular format, it's still just as magical. Well, almost at least. Quote

Anatess, I can't figure it out...what is your avatar pic of?? :)LOL! Yeah, it's my son's pet's vivarium... and yes, it's a pet snake. One of 7! I love looking at those "slices of nature". We have 2 fish tanks and a turtle tank too.I know what you mean about Princess and the Frog - it's not the greatest. Like the Road to El Dorado or the Emperor's New Groove. I didn't like those much.It was interesting to see Cars 2 trailer... I'm always worried when they make sequels because it has a big chance of ruining the whole thing. Toy Story is one of the few that got better in sequels. I was using up a bunch of tissues on the last one!I can't wait for TRON on Friday! That's a MUST-SEE... I was a Tron fanatic in my younger days... I am too excited to see Tron in today's digital media! Quote
Wingnut Posted December 13, 2010 Report Posted December 13, 2010 Don't get me started with how horrible the Princess and the Frog is.Wha?????Emperor's New Groove. I didn't like those much.Seriously? That's like one of the best movies ever! Quote
Elphaba Posted December 13, 2010 Report Posted December 13, 2010 . . . and yes, it's a pet snake.Oh, no! In another thread I wrote how just the word "snake" makes me go in search of xanax. So, how am I supposed to be able to look at your avatar from now on? You post a lot, and I don't have that much xanax! Elph Quote
pam Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 Wha?????Seriously? That's like one of the best movies ever! Purely subjective of course. Movies I just loved you disliked. All a matter of taste. Quote
Wingnut Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 Purely subjective of course. Movies I just loved you disliked. All a matter of taste. And clearly you have bad taste. But so does Anatess. My taste is the only one that matters. Quote
Elphaba Posted December 18, 2010 Report Posted December 18, 2010 So, Bini, I took your advice and had my daughter take me to "Tangled." I bawled like a baby, embarassing the heck out of my daughter. (She always makes fun of me because I'm a crier.) I loved it! Elph Quote
