what an incredible night at the San Diego Temple last night!! The spirit was so strong & amazing! It was truly a blessing to see so many people there last night. I had my maternal grandmother's baptism done while I did endowments. Now, I can't wait to do her initiatories, endowments, then get her sealed to my grandfather!

I love the feeling of being refreshed & renewed after the sessions. It is what I cherish so much about my Temple experience. I am so fortunate to have a Temple so close, that it makes it so easy to be able to go quite frequently.

For those of you who will be soon attending the Temple, you have an amazing experience ahead of you. You will receive so much from attending the sessions, as well as, incredible learning experiences. ^_^

And of course I think the San Diego is the most beautiful temple of them all. Of course I might be slightly biased as that was/is/always will be my home town. Even if I don't live there now.

I agree so much. I have never been to the San Diego temple, but it is beautiful...I am currently working towards my endowment. I just got my patriarchal blessing two hours ago!! I am so stoked! :trampoline::hyper:

Useless trivia: As I recall, either the architect or the interior designer for the San Diego temple was actually a Catholic.

I'm gonna say DC. The massive size of the building is awe inducing.

Yes, Pam, I have to say that I, too, am a bit biased as well! LOL! How far from San Diego do you now live? I hope not too far, that way you can always make a drive over to here. I grew up in Chicago, but moved out west about 1 1/2 yrs after high school. While I have lived in the LA area, San Diego is my most favorite place to be. I love it here! I travel extensively for work, so I have the wonderful opportunity to go to other Temples. I will be traveling to Honolulu, Hawaii in a few weeks, so I am planning to do a session at the Temple there, too. Even though I think the San Diego Temple is the most beautiful, I do have to say that the experience in the Salt Lake Temple is unforgettable! Each Temple has it's uniqueness & of course, each one offers the most profound experience. :D

I will always love the San Diego Temple for the reason of having served in the San Diego mission. In fact, I served in the ward the temple is located in, and at the time, the ward mission leader lived on the other side of the peanut-shaped road the temple is on.

So, not only did we get to attend the temple once a month if we were assigned to the city, but I got to have weekly drives past the temple at night while in that area, and I got some great night photos as well.

The appreciation I have for the temple lies in what the temple offers us, and what God is extending to us through the ordinances we perform there. It truly is God's work and glory to bring to pass our immortality and eternal life, and through the temple he is doing all he can to achieve it. Knowing that all members are encouraged, if not outright commanded, to be temple worthy at all times adds to the importance of temple attendance, as well as displaying God's love for us all.

I do believe it is the temple that saved my life for the fact that is the temple of the Lord. My parents told me about this. When I was just a few months old we were going to go to the temple to be sealed. A few days before that I got sick and my parents took me to the doctor and the doctor said I had pneumonia and as a baby that is dangerous. He said I wouldn't make the trip if I went. So my parents took me anyway because they really wanted us to be sealed together and they put their faith in the Lord. I cried all the way. As soon as we went inside I stopped crying all of a sudden and on the way home I slept just fine. The temple is truly wonderful. I've went to the temple many times for baptisms and confirmations and I'm proud of that for I know I am helping those that have passed on.
