HappierThanABird Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 Hi, I am a convert of almost 10 years, who is currently questioning my faith. I usually participate in religious discussions on baby forums, but I decided to venture out a little more to get some new perspectives. I am a married mother of 2 with a DH who is currently deployed. pam Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 Welcome to the site. What branch of service is your husband in? Quote
NeuroTypical Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 Hi Happier - welcome! Thanks to your hubby for his service. Good luck in your questioning - hope we can help. Quote
questioning_seeker Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 Hi happier, I'm curious about what has led you to question your faith, and what questions you are asking. Quote
HappierThanABird Posted March 22, 2011 Author Report Posted March 22, 2011 DH is Utah army national guard. I don't know what led me to questioning my faith - but I got kind of wrapped up in reading all that you can find online. It started 7 years ago, I pushed it away, married in the temple and had a few faithful years before things started weighing on my mind again. So I dived into reading it all again, and have been quite consumed with it for the past 6 months or so. I don't really care to get into specific questions because I am getting a place where I can contextualize things and the issues are somewhat resolving themselves, and other things I am going by faith (which is something I am really working on re-learning). I don't really know how to explain it. It has been a lot of prayer, pondering and conversations with good friends. I am far from where I want to be, but not so lost, and just hopeful. Like a lot has actually changed in the 12 days since I posted originally. =) Quote
