I may be doing good in my Government class, but I couldn't make sense of the article. All I got from it was that the government is (for now) still going, and that many organizations, like Planed Parenthood, are not going to receive funding.

I believe it said cutting funding to Planned Parenthood was tabled for later debate which means they've kept their funding.

Yes it's just to keep the military paid for a bit longer. They still have to approve the longer term one.

Still it's absolutely disheartening when I see such a clear message sent to Washington via the latest elections.....and they're still tone deaf and blind....does anyone in power have a backbone anymore??

Bickering over $30B doesn't give me hope for the long term when you consider that the necessary cuts amount to trillions. It's a simple numbers game that we keep trying to ignore.
