Have you tried that experiment? The next time one of my children lose a tooth, I'm going to put it in a glass of Coke and see if it really eats it away in 24 hours. I'm skeptical (surprise surprise).

You should be; the Mythbusters did a Coke show, and that one was busted. Here is a page on Coke myths you might enjoy reading. B)

As far as the coffee and tea questions I have asked why they are mentioned and have been told that it is a lot of the acid that is in them that make them so bad for you. :dontknow:

I think fruit juices are more acidic than coffee or tea and they are not prohibited.

Memo to LDS: The real reason other Christians "oppose" your church is not your teachings about salvation, the nature of God, the three heavenly kingdoms, etc. It's your opposition to coffee. "Let's have a cup of coffee" is almost an unofficial sacrament in most churches. :-)

But, due to Mormon culture, the thought of coffee and tea are given such evil connotations by LDS, that it goes beyond reasoning since they are basic drink/food consumptions that the majority of the world uses. The very simple phrase: "You wanna go out for coffee?" becomes quite taboo if you say it to a Mormon, even though they know it's just an easy cliched phrase that usually just means: "Hey let's hang out and talk a bit, catch up on old news!" (No rules are made that all involved must consume coffee) See how many more words had to be used, for the same innocent and friendly intent? Mormons are crazy, I tell ya! :P
