Backroads Posted June 9, 2011 Report Posted June 9, 2011 With that information, I think you're overly paranoid about this! I think what you're doing is fine. Quote
FunkyTown Posted June 9, 2011 Report Posted June 9, 2011 Yeah. Patting yourself on the back is absolutely, 100% fine. Whatever gets you through the day! And I would like to state for the record: The fact that this didn't end up being a euphemism impresses me to no end. You're fine. Quote
Blackmarch Posted June 9, 2011 Report Posted June 9, 2011 Ah, so talking to yourself is fine then. No, he says it's not "more bad" then talking to yourself. So it's bad.But it's good to talk to us. We're good conversationalists. And good company too. Of course it's good to talk to us. But we don't want to get banned like the penguin. The penguin?Yes, it used to talk to itself all the time just before getting banned. But no one will ban us for talking to ourselves. We're more loved than the penguin was.Almost certainly. What are you doing?Giving us a hug.Oh.... Ok... I guess it's no worse.What?Nothing.I'm happily insane thank you very much Quote

HEthePrimate Posted June 11, 2011 Report Posted June 11, 2011 Yes, hugging yourself is bad and so is holding your own hand. After reading this, my "Inner Rebel" compelled me to hold my own hand. It felt deliciously wicked! Quote
slamjet Posted June 11, 2011 Report Posted June 11, 2011 was anyone else blindsighted when this thread turned into a masturbation thread?Wait, it wasn't? Quote
Torrence Posted June 14, 2011 Report Posted June 14, 2011 This probably has nothing to do with the topic but... My parents didn't do hugs when I was younger. We had a Bishop in the ward that would ask, "How are you doing today?". If the answer was not "terrific" you got a hug. I looked forward to this tradition every Sunday; then one year for about a month I didn't see him. I felt deprived. I showed up at his house one Sunday evening and said, "I'm not terrific; I need a hug." I got my hug and he explained it was his new calling keeping him away. I still get my hugs 20 years later. I also have several teddy bears that I get hugs. Somedays you just need a hug. ((((((((((((((((((((huggles))))))))))))))))))))) Quote
