Good for you. I'm proud of you telling the counselor about your issues as well as telling him that you are feeling uncomfortable talking to the bishop. That took a lot of courage.

It's very, very natural to feel nervous, scared, and embarrassed. I can tell you that you don't need to feel that way, but that doesn't change the fact that you DO feel that way.

What I can tell you is that your leaders really do love and care for and about you. They want to help you. They know how to show you the way and give you tools to be successful. Also, they understand completely what you are going through. They may be old guys to you, but they were your age once and felt the exact same feelings you feel. So, they know where you are coming from.

Trust them. Even your bishop, your uncle. As a bishop, he has the responsibility to help you. I can tell you with certainty that he has special gifts as a bishop to help you--God given gifts. Those gifts aren't there to help him so much as it is to help you through him.

You can do this. You have already shown courage--keeping moving forward despite your fears and embarrassment. You are strong enough. Tell Satan to heave off and you do what you know is right.
