Do you believe Brother Dorsey that if a woman's life is in danger due to the pregnancy or effected by the pregnancy, that she should still be forced to carry the pregnancy to term?

And what if she already has children that know her and need her; should she still risk her life because of a child she has never met or who may not even survive if she, the mother, were to loose her life?

Men do not fully understand what it are like to be women so they cannot walk in those shoes.

Ill be dammed if men are going to legislate my rights. Not that I would choose to have one but I have lived in that era of back street abortions and desperate women.

When you see and understand those times, you have a grater compassion for those who choose.

I had a good non-member friend who chose to end her third pregnancy with out her husband’s knowledge. It was not until months later I was called to the emergency room to give her a ride to a women’s shelter. I suspected her husband was a wife beater. She looked like someone out of a horror movie.

She is a Catholic it was not a choice she took lightly. He had beaten more miscarriages out of her and she feared for her life.

She is happily married now to a man her ex fears. He stays away form her.

A case of a desperate women forced to do a desperate thing.

Oh now don't get me started on the issue of abortion! Put it this way....if the men and women of this Earth were to live up to the standards that God has set forth then there would be no need for abortion. Abortion should NOT be used as a contraceptive.....Abortion should be illegal....outlawed on every continent......the women should be forced to carry the babies to full term, the fathers and mothers of the babies should be made responsible to pay for the medical bills....and the child should be taken from them and given to a couple who would raise the child right.....that's my two cents on that subject, you can hate me if you want!......let the nasty replies begin!!!!!!

NOw im sorry but that has to be the most stupid and ignorant thing i have ever heard in my life member of the church or not. Should a mother be forced to deliver if her life is in danger or should she be forced to have the child because she was raped, and go through numerous years of depression and trama. I really think you have a right to say what a woman should or shouldnt do since you yourself have no idea what its like to bare a child due to some tragic event. Even the prophet has no endorsed the illegalization of abortion because he knows that there are situations that one can not expect to give birth. it would be nice if all these things do not happen but that is wishful thinking and simply just a non reality talk

It is not the same as an egg discarded when a woman has a period.....it is a fertilized viable human embryo.

Sorry Brother Dorsey your wrong there. Women flush fertilized eggs with their normal period all the time.

If the egg does not implant in the uterus witch by the way happens all the time it is flushed away by the normal period.

Actually....unless the woman had sex and the males sperm fertilizes the egg, and then and only then if the fertilized egg does not implant itself into the uterine wall then it will be discarded with the normal period.....however it is alot more likely than not the egg went unfertiliaed to begin with....and what about those unmarried virgins....do they pass fertilized eggs.....nope.....!

A women’s uterus is a hostile place believe it or not.

My daughter inherited my uterine trait. To up it in nonprofessional terms, a "uterine ring".

If you have an egg implant in the space of a uterine ring it does not stay implanted, if it does the pregnancy is doomed.

I have had 14 miscarriages and my daughter has had two so far. A fertilized egg needs a well-lined uterus like fuzz soft walls.

If the egg does not find such a spot, it is flushed out of that uterus with the regular period.

A uterus does not always have even well lined walls.

I cant believe at 47 I’m giving grown men a lesion on conception.

Cant you just take a women’s word for it?

A egg is but a group of cells and a fertilized egg is but a group of cells as well not yet a fetuses, stem cells have no hart beat.

Most research is not using human stem cells.

It is only the retackle right that keeps beating that drum.

I wish people would think for themselves with out others doing it for them.

When I was young I remember a debate in the Catholic church over masturbation.

It was not because it would bring impure thoughts or ideas in to a mans head it was because it was the potential for life. Are we supposed to turn back the clock on that ludicrous mind set too?
