Advice For Job

Hello All,

I am seeking some advice on my current job situation. I just started a new job where I got a little bit of a raise, however my new job requires me to work on Sundays (Sunday-Thursday is my schedule) although it is a late shift and I do get to attend church. I really have no time to get my home teaching done, as my HT partner works on Saturdays, and my wife has been a bit sick due to her pregnancy and I am also in school. I was wondering if i should look for a different job, where maybe i might not have to work on Sundays and will have a chance to get my home teaching done? I know it will probably be a pay cut even though we have our first child on the way in 5 months, but it will only be for two more years until I am finished with school and we could possibly make budget cuts.

I've worked Sunday's for many years now. I work graveyards, Sun-Wed. I have made my HT appointments for Sunday's right after church. I also told the EQ presidency that I only have time available for two families until my work schedule changes. I HT without a companion for many years. I had my son go with me for a couple years until he turned 14 and now is officially my companion. I found ways to make both my profession and religion work together. I would seek a way to make them balance, rather then leaving a good paying job without a more compelling reason then HT. You can find the time if you try, and in reality, taking care of your family is a much higher priority then HT.
