Yehshen Posted December 18, 2012 Author Report Posted December 18, 2012 I tried on the drisilque in the same size and it fits! (in fact is a micrometer big, which is good) --- especially if since I am hungry now and want to eat candy, i'm at severe risk of gaining weight!!! Thank you everyone for response! Quote
MsMagnolia Posted December 19, 2012 Report Posted December 19, 2012 Gee I wonder why at the moment? LOL Pammie! My administration just keeps looking at me in pity as I stand at my morning duty area greeting the students in the morning. Braxton hicks are no fun when trying to direct 5 and 6 year olds where to walk and not to push and shove etc... Quote
Guest DeborahC Posted December 21, 2012 Report Posted December 21, 2012 For me, it was a matter of ordering a pair of each and deciding. Cotton and dri silk are my favorites. I'm not big and the Carnissa's ride up on me too. Don't hesitate to try a pair of the 1-piece garments. I actually :::don't laugh:::LOVE LOVE LOVE them. There is no top to ride up and they're very comfortable for me. Especially in dresses or looser winter clothing. Quote
Backroads Posted December 21, 2012 Report Posted December 21, 2012 All right, using this thread to branch off a bit (this is still on garments) This morning, I realized I was slightly behind on the laundry (namely the whites) and there were no clean garment tops left--except for the Carinessa II ones I pretty much abandoned a few months ago, having become pregnant and also having fallen in love with a different fabric. So I currently have a little Carinessa top stretched over my belly. A small part of me feels I'm kind of abusing the garment this way. Quote
beefche Posted December 21, 2012 Report Posted December 21, 2012 A small part of me feels I'm kind of abusing the garment this way. Why? Quote
Backroads Posted December 21, 2012 Report Posted December 21, 2012 (edited) Why?Like I'm wearing the garment incorrectly, even damaging it. We're talking stretching it here, as in I'm amazed I got it on. I know it's probably silly, and most of my brain is thinking "eh, it's somehow on me and covering me and it is the garment". MsMagnolia Posted December 22, 2012 Report Posted December 22, 2012 Backroads I have drisilque tops and they usually ride up my preggo tummy I think you are fine with stretching them. You are wearing them and that is what counts. Quote
skoshmom Posted December 28, 2012 Report Posted December 28, 2012 So glad that someone besides me actually likes the 1-piece! Quote

I know it's probably silly, and most of my brain is thinking "eh, it's somehow on me and covering me and it is the garment".Its on and that's all that matters. If you were tucking it in or wearing a smaller size so you could wear a shorter skirt or a lower neckline then there might be an issue but then again...its a personal decision and the only one you will ever answer to is our Savior.Relax... I think you're doing fine. Its tough being pregnant, get everything done and deal with a changing body. Quote
