Rosey Posted September 15, 2013 Report Posted September 15, 2013 I have been an LDS member for 22 years. For many years, I was working on Sunday most of the time, but now I am able to attend church most of the time, and I have rarely missed a Sunday for the past 8 years. I was not raised in the church. I have other family members that are LDS also. I was doing some research, after learning that the missionaries at our ward were told they can drink some sort of tea, and discovered this website. I still don't know what kind of tea they have been told is not against the WOW. My husband told me that they told him that their leader was providing it for them, so I was curious as to what type of tea it is, because I have always believed that tea is not allowed, period. Quote

Lakumi Posted September 15, 2013 Report Posted September 15, 2013 one can make tea out of pretty much anything, I never asked them if I can have dandelion tea, or pine needle tea or clover tea... I tried to keep my issues to a minimum with them Quote

Maureen Posted September 15, 2013 Report Posted September 15, 2013 (edited) Hi Rosey, you are allowed to have herbal tea because it is not considered to be "real tea".Why Herbal Teas Are Not Considered Real Tea | Swanson Health ProductsM. Edited September 15, 2013 by Maureen Quote
SanctitasDeo Posted September 15, 2013 Report Posted September 15, 2013 As missionaries in Russia, we drank herbal tea all the time. We would actually carry it with us, so that we could drink tea with people in their homes, since they would offer us tea anyway. I still drink it during the winter. Quote
