Latter Days Guy Posted February 12, 2014 Report Posted February 12, 2014 I've just bought myself a cheap android tablet (acer iconia b1) purely for church, has my scriptures and manuals on, podcast apps, and even a few LDS games! Still going to use my paper based scriptures but it does make things a lot easier when you can have all your reference material in one handy little device to work alongside your scriptures! Quote
applepansy Posted February 12, 2014 Report Posted February 12, 2014 (edited) When you attend church on Sunday what do you like to use ....?? Do you carry your scriptures with you or do you use an app on your phone or ipad or other device ??I take my phone which has the scriptures on it. Its been nice because my bag is still pretty heavy on Sundays. Its filled with lds children's books, lds coloring book, crayons, etc. Its gets pretty heavy. taking out the heavy scriptures helped my arms and shoulders a lot.The changes in the Youth curriculum has meant more and more people are using a tablet when teaching. Since I don't have a tablet I took my laptop when I taught the 14yo two weeks ago. Edited February 12, 2014 by applepansy Quote
mirkwood Posted February 12, 2014 Report Posted February 12, 2014 I am all about the electronics...if you have them use them...yet, I see far too many people on Facebook and other social sites while at Church -- during sacrament (this I don't get).Yeh that's a pet peeve with me. I have sat in Sacrament meeting and watched people playing Candy Crush and other such things. What about when the High Councilmen speak? Quote
