All you Non Mormons

Didn't know where to put this, but there's at least a few of you here... What do you all believe in, do you stray in belief from whatever religion you have, have no religion?

I am a Christian. My church is the Assemblies of God. One encyclopedia described my church as follows:

Evangelical: We believe our job is to spread the Good News of Jesus, and help people come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ--including growth in that new life.

Fundamentalist: We believe the Bible is accurate, that it is mostly history, mostly literal, and that it truly is God's words to us.

Missionary: We plant churches here and throughout the world--seeking to bring the truth of Jesus to the uttermost parts of the world.

Pentecostal: We believe in and operate in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, as described throughout the Book of Acts, and in 1 Corinthians 12 & 14.

Although I came to my faith at a young age, I was a convert. Church workers came to our neighborhood to pick us up, and long after my parents said we could decide for ourselves (age 15) I kept going. Well...I'm still going.

I was raised Christian (Baptist), and have looked deeply into a couple of other religions, but currently don't practice any (haven't for years). Still, religion continues to be one of my favorite subjects to learn about and discuss.

Mine too, I've invented several for novels and... half invented (namely the names) one to explain my own beliefs, and for something different to say around the holidays in my cards

For my beliefs you can just copy what Prison Chaplain said although we might have some possible differences in the role of sign gifts, but I'm not sure.

I don't stray in terms of doctrine, but I do stray in terms of culture slightly.

I do dance, but not well. I go to movies if they are ones I could see with Jesus and I listen to country music. I tend to wear jeans to evening service. So, I don't fit the Baptist mold but I am loved and accepted by my church.

When I watch movies I riff them, and I wonder if Jesus would do the same?

I do dance, but not well.

This reminds me of something I told my daughters the other day. When we took "sex ed" in high school (I know--it's upper elementary nowadays) everyone tried to get a B. You didn't want a C because you didn't want to be seen as ignorant about The Topic. However, you didn't want an A, because you didn't want to be seen as overly knowledgeable.

BTW. I'm not disclosing how they did on theirs!
