Practical helps from the Book of Mormon

Do you have a favourite tip from the Book of Mormon or an insight that has really helped you out? There is a scripture (Moroni 7:16, sorry cannot get link to work) that tells us that all men have a conscience. I find it very comforting to know that the people I am dealing with do know, at some level, perhaps buried deep, that it is wrong to lie, cheat, and steal.

I like the doctrine that you can have faith without your faith being perfect.  That a mere desire to believe is a seed of faith that when nurtured can grow into a large tree of faith.

In my BoM the first I highlighted was Nephi 2 9:30, it always spoke to me, and still remains my favourite passage.
