"Courage is to take a step forward into an area of difficulty without a solution in mind, but yet feeling that victory is ahead. It is going empty handed, but knowing that God's hand is stretched out to pull you."

When G-d parted the Jorden river (after Moses died) the water didn't start to part till the priest put their feet in the water....They had to step out in faith, then G-d parted the waters...

Yed, that is one of my favorite personal examples of faith in action. Used it to teach on my mission. Use it in daily life. Thanks for the reminder.

What a great post. I love the concept of Courage. What comes to mind is when I moved from Oregon to Idaho. I was just re-starting my activity in the church and I had a very strong notion to sell my business, leave my hometown, and take a new job opportunity in Idaho. I flew out on my own dime and met the owners of the small company and I had two impressions. 1) Untrustworthyness and 2) You need to go! That was tough. I returned, and in a week, I had my business sold, and I was on my way to Idaho. I was there for 3 months and endured the worst boss I've ever had in my life. Not only was he untrustworthy, he loved to yell, threw temper tantrums, and to make things worse, it was also very difficult to deal with his bi-polar issues. Later I found out that all his employees were family or requested a contract that he wouldnt yell at them for any reason. I did get a lot of humility out of it! Which is exactly what I needed! I learned a lot in a short amount of time. Although it was really hard at the time, There is no doubt that had I not had the courage to follow the promptings to move there, I wouldnt have learned all that I did. I dont look back on that experience with anger or hate, but I am thankful that my courage allowed me to do the things Heavanly Father wanted me to do.
