Annabelli Posted July 5, 2007 Report Posted July 5, 2007 Those look like .59 cent buns and regular weiners. So now we need a contest with jumbo's and decent buns. LOL Thanks for sharing a great story. Happy 4th of July! Quote
FrankJL Posted July 5, 2007 Report Posted July 5, 2007 I wonder if anyone has studied the long term health effects of people eating like this on a regular basis. Also of note. Average hotdog is about 75 calories, a bun is about 125....so 200 calories per dog... 63*200 = 12,600 calories...in 12 minutes.. That cannot be healthy.. Quote
pushka Posted July 5, 2007 Report Posted July 5, 2007 Frank, I agree with you...this does seem to be a very unhealthy pasttime! Quote
StrawberryFields Posted July 5, 2007 Report Posted July 5, 2007 When I was in high school we had a contest with doing something like this with Bubble Yum bubble gum. There were two winners a guy and a girl. I am sorta proud to say I took the prize for the girls..... 15 pieces of gum... I barfed when it was over. The prize was the rest of the packages of gum divided between the winners. I gave my prize away. B) BTW, In order to win I only moistened to gun once it was in my mouth. If I would have really chewed it six pieces would have done me in. Quote

That would be a total of 16-17 lbs. Maybe that would be equal to 9 steaks and 5 or 6 baked potatoes. Or nine cans of chili and 3 or 4 blocks of cheddar cheese. Or 4 to 5 medium pizzas (24 oz) and 8 (16 oz) bottles of soda. This was just a contest.....hopefully not the American Diet. Quote
Dr T Posted July 5, 2007 Report Posted July 5, 2007 Thank you for that Anna. That is amazing. No thank you. I'll just eat a normal portion. Quote
Annabelli Posted July 6, 2007 Report Posted July 6, 2007 What's your normal portion? For me it is one steak, fries, green beans, and a slice of apple pie. Quote
Dr T Posted July 6, 2007 Report Posted July 6, 2007 Depends on the day then maybe some of my children's leftovers and some Gatorade. Quote
Annabelli Posted July 6, 2007 Report Posted July 6, 2007 Children's leftovers? Depending on the age group, I would say Mac & Cheese and Gatorade on any given day. Mac & Cheese Pizza is becoming a total favorite....have you tried it? Quote
Dr T Posted July 6, 2007 Report Posted July 6, 2007 Never even heard of it. Sounds interesting. Have to look for it. Thanks for the heads up. :) Quote
