JimmiGerman Posted January 2, 2015 Report Posted January 2, 2015 (edited) First I came to native American music when a girl friend of mine once loaded down several songs from You Tube. Later I found this, and I think it's great: Ananau. Edited January 3, 2015 by JimmiGerman Blackmarch 1 Quote
JimmiGerman Posted January 2, 2015 Author Report Posted January 2, 2015 (edited) Or this one: "My father married a pure Cherokee, my mother's people were ashamed of me..." As far as I know, she had an Armenian father, and her mother was American with Cherokee forefathers. I always found her songs great. Expecially this video shows that there's certainly nothing she'd have to be ashamed of... if ye know what I mean. Edited January 3, 2015 by JimmiGerman Quote
JimmiGerman Posted January 2, 2015 Author Report Posted January 2, 2015 (edited) And I like the Lakota (inspired by the film "Dances With Wolves"). Edited January 2, 2015 by JimmiGerman Windseeker 1 Quote
Windseeker Posted January 2, 2015 Report Posted January 2, 2015 Native American Flute is very soothing. My wife happens to have both Irish and Native American roots. I myself play Irish Flute and used to play at some of the pubs in Seattle till tendinitis set in. I love Irish flute because of it's dynamic ability to sound very light and airy to rolling like a bubbling brook to very reedy and punchy. Here is a favorite from a very talented girl I know. Quote
JimmiGerman Posted January 3, 2015 Author Report Posted January 3, 2015 (edited) Interesting Honestly, Palerider, I guess flute music isn't really your thing - but perhaps your heart's beatin' faster at this song: Edited January 3, 2015 by JimmiGerman Quote
