Guest MormonGator Posted February 21, 2015 Report Posted February 21, 2015 It looks like the fight is finally happening. Too bad it's several years late. http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/boxing/2015/02/20/floyd-mayweather-manny-pacquiao-announce-fight-may-2-mgm-grand/23701745/ Quote

Vort Posted February 21, 2015 Report Posted February 21, 2015 I would much rather see Jones/Johnson, Velasquez/Werdum, or Rousey/Anybody. Quote

Mayweather-Pacquiao was interesting five years ago. Now it's just 99% hype and 1% legit, interesting fight. I also pick Mayweather in a landslide. Quote

Guest MormonGator Posted February 21, 2015 Report Posted February 21, 2015 I agree.....5 years ago this would be a huge dealFreddie Roach said fewer and fewer people walk up to him and ask him about this fight. I'm with them. Quote
Guest Posted February 22, 2015 Report Posted February 22, 2015 PACQUIAO!!!! Of course. But... Pacquiao is already past his prime. And he has Congress and his hospital that is really eating into his training time. Even Roach has complained that if he doesn't change his schedule (which he can't because... he is legally bound to honor his obligations to the Phil govt) he might not be at peak levels when the fight comes. But then, if Pacquiao was at his peak, Mayweather would be too chicken to fight him... so, I guess this is the only way the fight can come down. Quote

Guest MormonGator Posted May 2, 2015 Report Posted May 2, 2015 Tonight! Tonight! My final prediction: Floyd by decision unless he's lost his reflexes. I do not like Floyd personally but I think he's just too good. Manny is a hall of famer too, I just think his lost to JMM showed his weaknesses. He's lost to really great fighters lately. Enjoy!
