Hot Rodding Is Expensive...

I had to dump a nice chunk of change into my hot rod recently, due to a torque converter company cutting corners and an engine builder also cutting corners.  It sucks to have to shell out money because of other people's dishonesty.  Just wanted to vent.  Have a good night, all.

Been there. I feel your pain.

I built a mild street engine for my truck. Fuel injected, super smooth .586 lift cam with 1.6 rockers, but when the machine shop balanced my flywheel, they drilled holes in the outside edge, which is the tone ring for the crank sensor. They told me it was okay, but nope. So out comes the transmission and t-case. I took the flywheel back, they fixed it, and I tried it again. Nope. They cheaply filled the holes with epoxy. Out came the transmission again. They finally got me a new flywheel.

Grrrrrrrr.

Any time you rebuild an old car, a jalopy, an old truck, etc., you can be assured:  If you put $30,000.00 into it, into the rebuild, etc., you will be guaranteed, if you want to sell it, that you will get $15,000.00.

I know.

I'm still a boy and I like to play with my toys.

I'm looking for another tractor now.
