So I've gotten two porn scams in my email recently. Don't know if any of you have.

I get a message from some chick claiming we chatted on MySpace, and asking me to respond. Sometimes they link to an actual MySpace account, but once the email just had a photo of the girl attached. Nothing dirty in the pic, just a normal girl. The email itself is more than just one sentence. The person goes on in a normal conversational manner like you'd do in an email to a friend.

Now I've never chatted with anyone on MySpace, and the handful of people whose accounts I've visited (my friends) do not include strange girls.

So then as a test I replied to the sender's email and said something like, "Don't remember you, what did we talk about, blah, blah, blah" to see what would happen. This is the cue that their autoresponder or script or bot is waiting for.

So after I reply...right on cue...I get an email back saying, "Oh well my MySpace account is gone, but here's my temporary website for now." And they link to a webpage that has pics of them in compromising positions with partial nudity.

It's not outright porn...or should I say...they try to make it look like a legitimate blog with pictures of themselves and whatnot. They try to give it a credible feel instead of a drive-by-flashing which some porn sites that pop-up have (I have those blocked now).

So anyway, somewhere on this "blog" they say, "The site admin said I can't show all my pics in case some people are too young or would find them offensive. But if you go here they verify your age FOR FREE and then you can see all my pics."

Do they think I was born yesterday? Yeah, verify my age FOR FREE...oh what's that? You need my credit card?

The whole thing is a porn scam and frankly, I'm kinda' surprised at how they've changed their approach.

Used to be you'd get an email about an ostensibly legit topic, and then the text would be, "Go to www.xxx.com for fun," or something stupid. You could see 'em a mile away.

Now they've moved towards making them more personal, trying to come across as not just a nude object on the web but a "friend" you supposedly chatted with on MySpace or whatever.

Anyone else had these types of emails popping in their email inbox?
