And CK, you know what is amazing? Listening to mayors, such as the one of Newark, actually DEFEND their status as a 'sanctuary city' especially after those 3 illegals gunned down 3 college students in his town! And one of them is a suspect in raping a 5 year old girl repeatedly, and because Newark is a 'sanctuary' they couldn't alert the feds!

This country is self destructing because we elect idiots to positions of power that hate the US and want to destroy it. If I were the parent of one of the victims that were murdered, I'd be suing the City of Newark and the Mayor in particular for the death of my child. I don't think we should sue, that we should turn the other cheek, but in this instance I believe it would be warranted, in order to save other people's kids/spouses/parents. And with anything I won, I give it all to organizations that promote getting the illegals out of this country...

Wake up America!!

Take alook at this website if you don't think sanctuary cities are a problem or wide spread in the U. S.

http://www.ojjpac.org/sanctuary.asp

Who is Steve Salvi? What is his expertise in immigration? What is OJJPAC? What is it's expertise?

For every site like the one you linked I can find one opposing it. Everyone has an opinion and loves to put it on the internet.

Show me a site designed by people with expertise in immigration issues who have no bias. That I will consider.

That is kinda funny. Some people who are experts in immigration who have no bias? Well, the names are New Mexico, Arizona, California, Florida, Texas, basically any state that has an ocean nearby......, yeah, the millions of those experts I am sure who lived there years before the populations quadrupled...... they might have an opinion, dont you think?

I was mainly referring to the number of cities and areas or states that are allowing this. That should be allarming to any of us, I would think.

OJJPAC: Ohio Jobs and Justice PAC. You can find information about them online. I am not advocating any group, only looking at how many cities are actually calling themselves a sanctuary city and giving safe haven to many people that are criminals and wreaking havoc in our country. Not saying that all of them are, but many are.

I just moved back up North from Georgia and Kentucky/Tennessee. Atlanta actually had 'marchin' mexicans' on the day that they protested for their 'rights' in this country. Any warm weather state is overrun with 'em, and nobody does a darn thing about it. This is a problem and anyone that states it isn't is living in denial. And the crime is unbelievable. Nearly every story of a murder is of a Jose or Pedro or Juan...

I dare any of the deniers to take up their cause in the countries these illegals are coming from. Go ahead, head for Mexico and demand your 'rights'...What you'll get is a night or week or month on Uncle Pedro down there getting to know the justice system up close and personal. Other countries wouldn't put up with that BS because they know they have to be sovereign and protect their borders, but for some reason the idiot libs think that it is a 'right' for illegals to come here and do whatever they want and, oh by the way, have us pay for their medical and living expenses!

They have, after all, experienced the effects of immigration issues.

But to accurately represent the situation, you need an expert who can analyze the data but who has no bias. Therefore, no, they're opinion is not relevant when it comes to providing an accurate picture of the situation.

What I need is someone who is going to provide a reliable analysis that I can trust will be accurate and without a bias so that I can utilize it to decide who to vote for. I don't want an analysis that tells me what I want to hear. I want one that tells me the truth.

I can't believe it! I have an ally! Oh sweet mystery of life!

Did you see this silly thread this morning?

You've probably already seen this, but I'm posting it again just in case you didn't.

Just looking at his little princess makes me smile. :D

Anyway, welcome to the land of the vile outcasts (that’s us, the sinister “liberals") who want nothing to do with saving the earth, but actually want to end Western Civilization, mainly the US, because we’re control freaks that want everyone else to do what we feel (yes FEEL) is right. We failed to have us [America] fall to the Soviets and the utopia that is communism, so we have moved to propagandizing the youth with piffle that we bad Americans are making the earth warm up.

Sigh . . . That is a direct quote from someone on this site who despises Obama.

Actually, I was trying to be a little funny.....guess my humor isnt up to par this afternoon. hard to find the unbiased analysis. I guess people will agree with what they feel is right, rather than what they know to be right....maybe....

Josie,

Thank you for that information. This is a Political Action Committe, which means it does have a bias and personally, I would not consider this reliable information. It is funded by people who are politically motivated against illegal immigrants. Even the author admits he does not know if he has an accurate listing of sanctuary cities.

However, let me be clear. There is nothing wrong with a Political Action Committee, or anyone else for that matter, putting a site like this on the net. They have the right to do so, and you have the right to rely on the site if you wish. I'm just saying I wouldn't rely on it. But I don't have the right to tell anyone else what to do.

I just wanted to provide some perspective by explaining that for every site like this you will find a site with an opposing viewpoint. However, to be honest, I suspect with the immigration issue there are many more sites with this one's point of view.

Edited to add: It is entirely possible the information on the PAC's website IS accurate. My point is you don't know because of its bias. I apologize for being so scattered with my explanations.

Elphaba

Edited to add: Josie, please accept my apology for being so snippy. I shouldn't have been so cold about the issue, but rather should have explained my feelings to you with a kinder tone. Elphaba

Elphaba,

You are fine. No apologies necessary. We all have our opinion and should be entitled to express them within the rules of the site.I understand what you are saying and I agree that we have to be careful of who's word we take for what. We each need to investigate things out for ourselves and come to our own conclusions based on what is best for us and our families.

I had googled "sanctuary cities" for two reasons. 1) To find out more about what they are, and 2) To see how wide spread the problem (atleast they are a problem to me) was. I could not believe that there were that many places that fell into that category. I have investigated the problem further on unrelated sites and find out that it is very wide spread and I sincerely believe that it is not good for our Country.

I have my copies of The Economic and Philosophic Manuscripts of 1844 and the Communist Manifesto right here.

Now, if only I could remember who it was that allowed the persecution of the Saints for so long, and what party they were, and how the ideology of parties has shifted over the past 9 decades...

I might need a decoder ring for this one.

:tinfoil:

Now where did I put my stuff on the United Order and the Law of Consecration... :hmmm:
