The simple truth of the matter is that a growing number of Democrats have begun to understand that Biden cannot defeat Trump 1 - 1 unless there is indeed a dirty election, but large numbers of other Democrats fear that Biden *is* the only person who can defeat him and so are refusing to even consider anyone else. Word is that at least one primary has actually declared that Biden will be the only candidate on the ballot.
