Over 2500 left handed people a year are killed from using products made for right handed people.

What products? How are they killed?

Dr T- that link you gave in response to ATrain listed only longevity- that left handed cricket players had a 2 year shorter life expectancy over right handed players.

The last article was from a study done at the Universtiy of Minnesota, the last sentence says it all: There was no difference in the mean age at death of left-handed, right-handed, and ambidextrous women. These findings do not support an association between left-handedness and increased mortality risk.

What other articles did you read to support your over 2,500 left handed people A YEAR are killed from using PRODUCTS for right handed people.

I didn't use those articles for that stat. It came from general "trivial information" data. I've seen it on two different trivia sites.

Some of the suggestions are perhaps it is power tools. I worked for 8.5 years in a hardware store- believe me there are power tools made for left handed people and for right handed people.

I think it is a phony trivia stat - not your fault Dr T- theirs for not checking it out for truthfulness.

How many left handers do you know that have died in the last year? How did they die?

I used to work with this guy. We sprinkled salt across his cubical doorway and he couldn't leave for lunch. :)

How many do you know? I know of no left handers who died in right handed only equipment/ product users accidents EVER.

Since most of you were wondering I thought I'd let you know.

a quarter has 119 grooves on its edge (and we already know that a dime has one less groove. I think it was the ants that told us) :)

I read that one too. I wonder if Ben Raines can tell us if that's true.

The Earth weighs around 6,600,000,000,000,000,000,000 tons (5940 billion billion metric tons)

The thing with planetary weights and distances is weird to me. It begs so many questions. Like HOW did the Earth get weighed? Was she wearing anything (snow) at the time? What was the scale resting on?
