Hemidakota Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 Revelation of Peter was canonized prior to the 367 AD meeting and was dropped. Go figure. Quote
Hemidakota Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 Here something I didn't know concerning John the Revelator. In the Letters to the Elders of the Council, Kirkland, dated 1 Sept 1835, it reads: "John upon the isle of Patmos, saw the same thing concerning the last days, which Enoch saw." (HOC 2:261)Now if I can find Enoch writings on what he saw and compare..... Quote
Guest tomk Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 Likewise, I recently learned from a book that, because Nephi was forbidden to write what John was ordained to write -- Nephi found a way around that restriction by quoting Isaiah. Quote
