Kona, I am gladed to see for one that you are questioning your faith. Not to be antagonistic..but here is the thing. Too many people are following into false reglions because that is all they have ever known. I did not choose christianity because of upbringing. I searched all reglions out and lined them up to Christ. Which one stood up? Take the plunge and seek him.

REad evidence demands a verdict..all your nagging questions will be answered.

Like can we trust the bible? Where did it come from? What is up with the trinity? Who did Jesus claim to be? This guy was an athesist and tried to disprove the bible..and could not. Josh mcdowell."The evidence demands a verdict"

Gods word was kept by His followers.. Have you ever looked into the scrolls found of the NT and the people that hid them away in caves?

This is an interesting observation that you seem to share with the Latter-day saints. We thank all those early individuals who went to such lengths to preserve the words of God. We are glad to have those early texts to refer to. Where would we be without them? And what of all the people who benefitted from those early protestants who helped but the word into the hands of the common man. Tremendous efforts!!!

We believe that God has spoken to man and caused them to write his word as well. We believe this happen in more than one location. Prophets on the American continent also wrote God's words on gold plates and stored them in hidden locations. In the case of the BofM, it was passed from prophet to prophet and then deposited in a stone box. It was hidden there until Joseph was led to it and commanded to translate it.

I see also in your previous posts, that you question ones ability to feel the spirit and determine that it is in fact from God. I understand that concern. It is a valid one and worthy of much discussion. And I had better end my comments there, or Kona might have my head for hijacking.

That's good information. I wonder what the statitics are? Born into or converted? I was not talking about lds by itself. All reglions!! More Discernment is needed. More people need to know "Truth" not make an emotional draw into something because it feels good.

Yes absolutely! I think there are some that glide by on the testimonies of others. But it is not what sincere discipleship is about. My daughter is a good example. For a while she just wanted to get baptised cuz her grammie was gonna give her an American Girl doll and a new dress. We had long talks about what true conversion was. It was a beautiful time for both of us as she is starting to understand God and other spiritual things.

Kona, our testimony is either progressing or rectrogressing everyday. It has to be checked on a daily basis. Never be satisified with our testimony until you received the same as Joseph Smith first vision.
