  1. "butt hank you" I promise I'm not making fun, I just found in incredible amusing.
  2. This is a book I've been wanting to get and read... White Guilt: How Blacks and Whites ... - Google Book Search We ALL made mistakes. It's time for each of of to take our own bootstraps and firmly pull.
  3. By House of David you mean Judah correct? David isn't a tribe.
  4. Huh? This is why quoting is so essential.
  5. I guess I still have latent cryptic tendencies from my years growing up LDS, where giving the full story might drive people away (no offense folks but ask outsiders how you come across when answering theological questions). More people within the Restoration Movement are starting to wake up to Torah Observance. In fact someone from here has contacted me because him and his wife are in the same boat. The lady who has inspired me has never been a member of any church of the Restoration. She grew up Baptist, converted to Messianic Judaism, gained a testimony of the Book of Mormon and YHWH has used her to bring forth some awesome truths. If you want to read her writings visit: http://www.zionheritage.org I'll try to be less cryptic in the future, I think part of it may be my gospel vocabulary which tends to incorporate words and phrases from a bunch of different religious thought patterns.
  6. I don't know how it is over there but one of the worst things I white guy can do here is be proud of being anglo-saxon and our accomplishments. We are supposed to go around with our heads held in shame at how awful we are and continually berate ourselves because our 4th great granfather might have had a slave or two. The concept that white anglos are the House of Israel scares the heck out of people because of this programming.
  7. And I argue that the temporal blessings upon Britain, America, and the other anglo former colonies of the British empire are signs of the birthright blessing being upon them. Britain translated into Hebrew means "man of the covenant" The Coat of Arms of the Royal Family of Britain is a Lion (Judah) and a Unicorn (one horned goat Joseph)). Judah had the right to political rule over Israel and Joseph was over the temporal concerns. It's hard to fathom how people don't see it other then fear of man to be associated with those that have twisted the concept. Being called a racist these days is just as bad as being called a pedophile and nobody wants that.
  8. Although I may not agree with all of Bro. Armstrong's conclusions, to understand the basic argument for "British-Israelism" please visit the following site: Official website of The Philadelphia Church of God ©2008
  9. I don't understand how the reason why Ephraim was chosen is germane to the conversation. The rights and responsibilities of the role of birthright son is what I am concerned with.
  10. Gen 49:3 ¶ aReuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the bbeginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power: 4 Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father’s abed; then bdefiledst thou it: he went up to my couch. Chron 5:1 Now the sons of aReuben the firstborn of Israel, (for he was the firstborn; but, forasmuch as he defiled his father’s bbed, his birthright was given unto the csons of dJoseph the son of Israel: and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright.
  11. Branch Davidianism or Children of Godism (David Berg) or People's Templeism (Jim Jones) are bad fruit. Am I justified in rejecting the Bible because of their rotten fruit? I think post-moderns reject this because they don't want to be seen as racist. I don't give a rat's patutty what people think.
  12. Let's explore Joseph's birthright through Ephraim... Ephraim, son of Joseph, was made the birthright son because of Rueben's infidelity with one of Jacob's wives. The birthright son receives the majority of temporal inheritance and is responsible for the temporal security of the family. What other countries have been the providers of wealth, food, etc... to the nations? Britain and America alone have acted in the birthright role. No other countries have had and sustained the resources necessary to carry off the burden.
  13. Although His government will be established it appears there are people who will not believe at first. Zechariah (I believe, I suck at remembering chapters and verses), when speaking of the Millennium, says that annually the nations will flow into Jerusalme to keep the Feast of Tabernacles and those nations that refuse to send representatives will have drought in their lands the following year. The beginning of the Millennium isn't as rosie as some make it out to be, cleansing will still be occurring.
  14. I believe it was around 1830 by a epileptic Irish girl. 1830? Yeah, you figure it out
  15. Hold up!!! Just because racists and anti-semites have used it to justify their extremist views doesn't mean the foundational thesis is incorrect. People use the Bible for all sort of whacky things, do you reject it (the Bible) also??
  16. They believe it because it was taught by several early leaders of the LDS church that Yahushua was married to several women including Mary Magdalene, Mary and Martha, and others. "Was Jesus Married?" by Ogden Kraut is a good resource.
  17. Cryptic?? I am a member of no church. No organized Book of Mormon believeing church shares my beliefs. I'd stick out like a sore thumb resting on the Sabbath (Saturday), not eating pork, shellfish etc... ignoring x-mas and easter but celebrating Passover, Tabernacles etc... and using the true names etc...
  18. Why not read my profile? I explain fairly clearly where I stand. It's the Church of Christ, "Temple Lot" is added by many as a clarifier.
  19. What are you even talking about "less BoM-centric"? Only the Community of Christ has distanced themselves from it, all the others still believe in it very strongly. Where are you getting your information? Seriously.
  20. My first witness of the Restored Gospel was of Joseph Smith, during a Youth Stake Choir presentation of "My Servant Joseph" when I was approx. 15-16 years-old. I know Joseph had a mission from YHWH, and suffered for it by the hands of evil men.
  21. Sure. It would be easiest for me for whoever to ask about a certain doctrine then we can explore that, then move to another, instead of me trying to figure out which differences to talk about.
  22. True, the RCC (Roman Catholic Church) has many times more members and they will tell you in no uncertain terms that Benedict is THE Vicar of Christ
  23. No, I am specifically referring to the Book of Mormon. I believe often LDS missionaries go into an area, present the Book of Mormon, the sincere person gets a witness of it, and because of the false notion that the "Mormon Church" is the only one that uses it, project their witness onto the veracity of the church. Many people become disillusioned with the LDS church when finally delving into it pages completely and then give up on the whole thing, because they see what is taught in the BofM and what is taught in the LDS church are vastly different and they begin to doubt the whole shebang. I think if more people were aware of the different Book of Mormon believing churches at the time of their BofM witness, the breakdown of adherents in the different churches would be vastly different then it currently stands.
  24. The first thing LDS missionaries do is ask the people to read the Book of Mormon and pray about it, you are quite the exception.
