I am the Elders Quorum 2nd Counsellor for the Talisay Guam Branch. I am fairly new to the Church, (2 years) and am asking for insight into this position, and or any advice, or ideas on how to magnify this calling? Thank you very much. Michael Hillyard

Thanks. I have been to Norway. I was in Oslo in 1998 for a couple of days with the Navy. We were doing a Submarine rescue operation with your Navy. We were there for a couple of days, and we had a lot of fun!

Congrats on finding the Church. Now get that Babtism done, you will feel very good that you have allowed Jesus into your life! I know I was without religion all my life until 2 years ago. Now that I am saved I am a totally different person, and am so much happier!

It took me about a year. Now I am working on a full Temple recomend.

Well I did not find the Church until 2006 unfortunatly I was lost for most of my life.

I was in Silverdale from 1992-1997 then again from 2000-2007. I was there for the Navy though, and most people I knew were in the Service, so I don't know if I might know them, it is a posibility I guess.

My 12 year old daughter bore her testimony this Sunday for the first time (we have only been members for 2 years). She did a really good job. She was very nervous of course.

Do titles and what we call ourselves really matter in the big sceme of things?

I think that whatever you want to call yourself as long as you are a disciple of Jesus Christ is fine. Just remember that he is the way to salvation.

Thanks again for the welcomes, and thanks for the thanks for serving. I am getting so ready to retire. I have been in the Navy for 17 years and I just want to settle down with my family somewhere around good people. The Navy is a very hard place for Christians. All the guys swear, and talk about womanizing, and visit whore houses in foreign ports weather they are married or not. I just want to settle down, build my own house, and raise my 3 children.

Hello all from Guam. My family and I got babtized 2 years ago in the Silverdale 2nd Ward in Silverdale Washington. I am in Guam now because I am in the US Navy stationed on the USS Frank Cable. I love the Church, and it has totally changed my life for the better. I am so blessed for having Jesus in my life now.
