Hi folks! I'm thinking about traveling to Nauvoo and exploring it around Memorial Day weekend. Thinking about driving my car there, but it's about 400 miles from me. Would renting a car be bettter for me? Going by train or air? Does anyone have any advise for me? What is the best hotel? What way is best to get around the town there, by bike or car? Other than the Temple there, what are some of the sites that would be good to see? I'm excited to go there and check it out!

Are there any SA or YSA Wards in MI? Are there strict guidelines on the ages of ward members? I feel more comfortable in a singles setting, since I'm single. Plus, I fond out that any singles group, especially in the non-Mormon churches, that has more activities for singles. Thanks!:)

Is it required once you become a member of the church that you have to participate in the temple rituals? Are they related to the Book of Mormon and the Sacraments? Can someone describe what to expect when they go to a temple? Finally, does one have to go to the temple located in your stake to do these things or can they be performed in any temple if your a member in good standing? Once a person accepts Christ and the teachings of the Church along with baptism, what areas does that person serve? Is it by spiritual gifts or by the need with in the Church? Does the new member have the option of where they would like to serve, with the leading of the Holy Spirit? Thank you for any answers!

Doesn't the D&C state that the Sacrament should be done in meekness and humility? Is that why it is ( Pardon the expression.) "low-key"? However, I have been in a choir and do some solos also. It's a gift from God to me. When the Mormon Tabernacle Choir sings on tv, I enjoy every minute of it. I found that out my second week. I wondered why there was just nothing more that testimonies the first week I went ( It was also the first week of the month.) I understand fully. I used to go to a Full Gospel church that has the "health and wealth" message in it. Now were is such a thing in the Bible?

No. Not yet. Have been talking to the local missionaries and one of the older members of the local ward/branch. Haven't gone through the lessons yet, still investigating. Just was wondering once a person becomes a Mormon how their Evangelical or Catholic families felt about it. Just trying to understand the aspects it has on a non-Mormon family.Thanks for most of you testimonies and keep giving me advise!
