    Hello

I may be a mere youngin, but even I knew it was welcome back Cotter, I just didn't wanna push it being new here but now I know! :p:p:p
  14. I have to agree with the article and what I see from fathers around me. Children are a blessing, but apparently not if you’re a man. It’s a ridiculous double standard that isn’t helping the U.S. but hurting it. As someone who came from a home where my mother in all honesty couldn’t handle a child and my father saw me on some weekends but was usually high during the time, I know the damage that it can cause. As a whole if people really stopped and think before they had a child, or even sex for that matter a lot more children would be in loving homes. From coming from a not very close or even there family it has taught me to not be like my parents but really treasure children when I am blessed with them, I would do anything to be able to be a father but I know so much more comes with it. Maybe they should just give every 14-16 year old boy a baby for a month and have them be responsible for it. That would be the best birth control ever!
  15. Thanks! I was just curious if their were any thoughts on the subject!
  16. I was wondering what the church feels about dating someone significantly older or younger than yourself. Since I started dating I have always dated women a lot older than myself, and am wondering how the church feels about it. I was not born into the church and have been a member for about a year to two years so I have a lot of questions.
  17. Keep your head up! I just had a similar situation happen to me. All I have to say is remember that your past is your past its not who YOU ARE! Also for what its worth if I was dating someone divorced with a kid it would be because they were a great person, regardless of what comes with them. Everyone has baggage and no ones is heavier than anyone else’s.
  18. Just wondering if anyone on the sight lives in Tucson, I'd like to find some like minded people before I move down there.
  19. Would this then essentially make someone a different person? If that is the case would a person develop another soul? As the person would be essentially different because of the different connections in the brain; some being severed ect.

    Hello

Thanks everyone! Yes I hope to find a church before I get down there, is there any type of search engine where I could find out where will be closest to me or what ward I would be in. I know church is important, I just get worried because my father is against organized religion and I don't want to damage our relationship any further.
  21. I would have to say that there is a difference, but it is because of hormones, that’s all (taking out nature vs. nurture and learned behavior). Hormones, estrogen produced by females and testosterone produced by males is the reason that you think the way you do. Because of these hormones men and women’s brains are wired different. A lot can happen if your body produces too much of a hormone, causing things like depression. So essentially I would say yes, men and women are inherently different.
  22. Keep this in mind; swine flu as it is in America is not deadly. Most people here who get infected will be able to get food, and water any time, plus a lot of rest. What people really need to worry about (which the news is not saying) is that it is a flu that could become anti-biotic resistant. This would mean that as it mutates it becomes stronger, and essentially a different type of illness, that there may not be cures on hand for. Other than that I currently live in Seattle, not the best time to live in a port city!!!!
  23. Hello I have recently come into a harder road in my life and am starting over. I have also strayed from the church for the last two years, and know that it was a mistake, but I’ve learned from it. I’m in the process of getting my life, body, mind, and spiritual self back in the right direction, where I can once again feel and be a positive force. I will be moving to Arizona at the beginning of next month and am starting to look for a ward. I am worried that when I get down there my family wont be as perceptive (my father is agnostic and my step mom is Jewish) but I know I need to stay on the right path. I look forward to getting to know some of you and having fun on the boards!
