Hi, Im 21 y/o,,,I had been in a relationship with my bf for more than two years, we had our ups and downs, Im a life long memeber of the church, xcept that I wasnt living according to the gospel teachings for some time (actually it happens to be the time I ve been going out with him), my bf wasnt a member till a month ago that he baptised, we had made some big mistakes in the past, but I talked to my bishop and changed that.. so now that he is a memeber and a priesthood holder we are having more problems, we dont fight but I notice he is acting odd, like one day he tells me he wants to go on a mission and after that marry me, and the other day he tells me he´s not sure about his feelings, he´s not sure if he loves me, next day he says he really loves me but he was stressed... this emotional roller coaster is making me emotionally tired, I feel so bad that things are turning this way, sometimes I think is a punishment for our past mistakes,... I try to read the scriptures and pray daily , but still feel emptiness... today he just told me he needs to reconsider everything and we are going to talk soon about this, but when this time comes may be he would have changed his mind again and will tell me that he loves me.. so its so confusing. I care a lot about him and breaking up will tear me apart, I really wanted to be sealed with him, we even talked about it. I dont know what Im gonna do, specially cause the members of my ward are making me "an example" for the younger girls telling them what a nice couple we are,if we split Im gonna feel awkward in church... Im on this dilemma, he doesnt break up but I dont see his commitment to this relationship, I feel its taking me nowhere, in the other hand I dont know if I break up , what if his baptism meant something, that we have to put our energy and everything to make things work... its so difficult for me.. my mom told me to give it some time, not tell him anything just act casually not pushing things but not getting involved that much that in the end I will be more hurt .. as I said before this is making me tired .. I feel down all the time... Im usually an outgoing person who tries to smile all the time, but I just cant do it anymore... Im scared of the future... might sound silly.. but I am.. feeling old and hopeless

my boyfriend and I were talikn a while ago about this, he said poligamy is a part that he doesnt really undestands, he is new in church, I told him it is hard for me to understand it as well, but I think there are some cases where it might had been necesary and we arent here to judege our HF commandments, I said this but I dont know what would I do if today I was told to share my bf,, he is not my husband but Is not an idea I feel happy about... oh and I dont think there is any evidence that point that u will have to share ur husband, BYoung said that I dont know the full context of the quote, but i might be applied only to the time he was talking about, as for us, we have a living prophet and if he hasn´t said anything about this, you dont have nothign to fear... I told my bf that there had been some times when God allowed poligamy such as in the case of Abraham somehow he felt better after this explanation...

I dont wanna say that going to church makes you active there can be special curcumstances in which u can´t go and only our HF knows why and it might be that you were doing more good than other people that just went to church to sit and listen but didnt do any works.. anyways is not that these people shouldnt be going. I think going to church only to sit has its merits too.. lol not the best thing to do though,..

its been some days since I first posted here, and I just can't believe what happened yesterday in testimony meeting. this sister was the first one to get up and bear her "testimony" but the story she said was beyond disturbing and what she did too.. first she stated " on tuesday, aprox. at 10:30 a couple of hit man wanted to take my son... bla... this is why I took the stand and wanna thank G.d for this so I ask you to join me in a prayer... so far I thought she was asking to join in a prayer in our houses, but no ! she meant there and then she prayed and told all the storie with every detail and to me it was shocking not to share it from the pulpit ... in the prayer she also said "bless this people so they can have a testimony as strong as mine, because it seems that they dont... after that she gave all the details of this hired assassins that they went to kill her son with a gun they were going to shoot him , then she said Oh lord why is this country to corrupt and this city is getting so dangerous. .. and more to make this shorter she lasted more than 15 minutes in her prayer plus the introduction and conclusion more than 20 min.. she is been a member since a long time ago, but it seems that new members learned quick because a new convert passed too to "testify" and he told an experience he is a cab driver and he said that while working he drove this two girls to the place they had asked but once they got there one of them started to undress and she told him that they didnt have any money so they were going to pay him with "something else".. so supposenly the cab driver said no, and the girl got out of the car and screamed that he wanted to rape her.. ok and the story kept going all they way to the end... I just couldn't believe this... my brother told me that in the priesthood class the leaders agree that they couldn't say anything because the lady might be offended... oh and she is not supposed to go to our ward but she does because her ward meeting starts earlier...

just sharing a thought I had in the morning.. when we hear a person is inactive in church we think this means that person doesn't go to services , doesnt show up there ... but I also think that there are a lot of us that go to church every sunday, dont miss anything but only go there and sit, not paying tithing, not doing what is supposed to do according to the teachings, isn't that some kind of inactivity, u know just being pasive the opposite of active??
