pooter1 What you said about testimony meetings and things peolpe say to try promote faith in those around them doens't always work. Most, if not all, don't understand the message there sending. Testmonies about how someone payed there tithing were blessed often only cause pain and frustration to those who pay and never seem to get a head, or testimonies on how living the word of wisdom has blessed them with good health and some else in the ward is sitting there thinking I live the word of wisdom and I have cancer. These are tough questions to those of us who all our lives have been taught live the gospel and be blessed, with kids and young adults it can be even worse because they don't have the life experience to draw on to get them thru. I know anything I say may not be helpful, so I prayed to or Heavenly Father that what say will not bother you or offend you. When I have this happen in my life I try to ask the questions.

Wow That's a tough question to answer. I don't know if it a all or nothing type of thing, because none of are living all the commandments, then of us could have the spirt. In the D&C section 45 (I think) it talks about the gifts of spirt. "The gifts of the spirt are giving to those who love me and keep all my commandments and those who seaketh so to do" (paraphased). Notwithstanding some major sin or knowingly breaking the commandments and refusing to to repent. We may have the spirt by degress depending on our willingness to believe and obey.I think we have the spirt alot more then we think, we just don't always understand that we have it, or in other words we have the spirt, except when we don't.

Yeah friend of mine son is serving in Rome and he has been robbed a twice i think, I'm hoping that in area's that have alot of missionaries that those folks know that they don't have much money and leave them alone, anyway thanks for the feed back.

Is the judge saying he has to go to long term treatment or go to jail? Long term treatment with good follow up supports like AA and NA are best to prevent relaspe which is almost always happens with kids.Also depends on his level of addiction drugs like Cocain and opates some times take many etempts to break the cycle.

Sheep I guess I don't understand I' m a dad of three teenagers 19 17 and 15 Most parents just don't go around kicking there kids out for no reason. Talk to Bishop and your ward employment person.The church also offers a great employment workshop and Job coaching. Your new full time job should be finding a full time job Some one out there needs some help. Maybe someone thissite. I've prayed that Heavenly Father will provide away for you to take of your self.

You make an intresting piont. I look to the testiomies of three witnesses and the eight witnesses at front of the Book of Mormom. These testiomies will hold up any in court of law human or divine. I also have had my own witness thru personal revelation that the Book of Mormom is ture. What greater witness can you have than god?

As a member of the LDS church. I see the questions as a false argument. because the term christain is defind so differently between the churches. And in my view a Christian is defind by his actions, not by his views. So I don't try to convince anyone that I'm a christian that will be detrimed my actions and by the Savior.

Is there another branch or ward close by that you could attend ,I don't remeber the naughty chair in the hand book. As a preisthod leader I can understand the branch president supporting the new primary president too. However your wishes concerning your children need to followed . You may have to speak to your stake or district president to resolve this one.

I tend to agree with Janice about the tone of some of the comments here. As someone who has only been here for maybe a week. I found my self not commenting on folks concerns because it seemed like some are more intrested in proving a point than an honest empted to know what the truth is. I suppose it's only natural but you know what the say about the natural man.

You really need to talk with your Bishop. This is not something you can over come with willpower only. He will understand more than you think. Until you resolve this you will continue to suffer guilt and fear and Satan will a foot hold on our heart and mind. and will do everything in his power to keep in fear and guilt. The way thru this is thru your Bishop
