I guess my question is what brought you in to the church? It seems that you must of had a witness that the church was ture. What changed from the time you were baptized and now. I would ask you to share your concerns with the elders and your Bishop level with them tell, them what's going on. Can you stay in the church another six months? Things may change by then. I know that I'm a much better man,father, around human being for belonging the to church.

There are very real reasons my we are told guard or watch our thoughts. Many thoughts produce feelings that can work for us or against us , depending on how act or react to those feelings We become what we think about. Pres Mckay said (Paraphrased) Tell me what you think about, when you have nothing to think about, and I'll tell you what you are.

The key word in D&C 121 is showing a increase of love, not telling. Some of us think telling and showing are the same thing. passivity is not necesarily morality

I am deeply embrassed by the actions of some of the members of LDS church. I sorry If they have caused you any pain or frustration in your life. This is not what we teach. The gospel Jesus Christ is a gospel of accepttance. I can tell by reading some of your post you already Know this. I pray that our Heavenly Father will relief you of any anguish they have caused you.

It seems that some members of the church have the idea that all god promises and blessing will come in this life.This is not promised only that his promises will be kept and blessing recieved. Terrible things happened to Joseph Smith and the Savior of the world was crucifed I cannot think of two more deserving of god blessings. We are asked to be successful but faithful.

Way to go, you did the right thing. It takes guts to man up and repent. He'll most likely ask you to ask her to go to her Bishop first. But I believe he has to keep your confession confidential unless you give him permission to tell her Bishop.

Funkenheimer, No worries ,ok Unfortunately it seems that many people have been judged by there appearance (including me ) at different times in there lives these judgements are usually wrong and very hurtful. This lack of chartiy is something we all have to guard against.

What's keeping you from having a civil marriage now? Going to the temple unworthly will only heap more pain guilt and sin on your head. Talk to both your Bishops if your in different wards The fact that you've done this many times is going to be considered by your Bishop. I think should get married civilly and work towards a temple marriage, But of above all talk to your Bishop

Well folks I guess It depends I don't always wear my very best suit but I always wear a white shirt and tie at least and dress pants and shoes. In some of my callings a suit and white shirt was what we were instructed to wear. I think you should wear some best or nicest clothes you own . Some folks can't afford expensive clothes and they should wear the nicest clothes they own,also some converts and investigators don't understand that this is a form worship and reverence we show tolds the Savior and his church. Seasoned members should be aware of this. So it depends on why your wearing the cloths. We can't always judge righteously in these matters.

Maybe we should wait until there endowed to be counted as a member that might be a better way of showing the active membership I know in my stake about 54% of the members are not attending sacrament meeting.I have been told this number is consistent thru out the US wards. Can anyone tell me what Salt Lake is saying about sacrament meeting attendance.

Well my faith is so much a part of who I am and how I see the world and responed to it.That the idea of it being shaken scares me a great deal. I have never really doubted the turth I know. I have doubted my abilty to true to the faith I have. and I've had enough experiences in spirtual matters that not trusting in god is something I can't see my self doing.

Wow, Is my turn to teach Elders Quorum? I does seem like a merry go round. This can't be helped in some cases, with some members unwilling to serve, in callings like primary causes problems for bishops and the temptation is to call the guy who's willing to serve. You really need to level with your Bishop about what's going on with you and the merry go around. Sometimes if his counselor calls the person, there concerns are not told to the bishop. I don't agree with refusing callings however you must talk to your bishop if this effecting how feel about the church.
