  1. I believe that the ME isn't. Without the identity as a family (and the family just keeps going on and one back to Adam) we are nothing. Christ stated that He would save all His Father gave into His hands. That makes it a necessity to work for everyone to be saved-- and our own salvation is linked to this goal.
  2. Why would it seem like priests from a mountain? Giants are not normal conception. I believe it is just as it is stated. JMO
  3. I found the story about the angels interesting as it finishes or at least gave insight to that one reference in the OT about this subject. Genesis 6
  4. I have heard that Holland already practices euthanasia. It isn't so far fetched is it?
  5. That is great!... Yes I have read the rules, but remembering all the rules or interpreting the thing is another thing when unfamiliar.
  6. directed to go for aid... when desperate..
  7. are you against links as well?...being new it becomes difficult to know how to please everyone...yet..
  8. I just wanted to add that it doesn't matter if we are liberal or conservative-- there are powers that be who decide what every president is to accomplish and how-- The Bilderberg Secret Society--YouTube - Secret Societies: The Bilderberg Group Then there is also the fact our votes are not counted as we believe. freedocumentaries.org
  9. this is true... but first we are to ask family... right? At least that is what our ward and stake leaders have directed us over the pulpit...
  10. this is a great link and discussion. Just one thought to add-- There were many of the prophets/revelators in the scriptures which were constrained to not share more... that should give us some pause... when sharing.
  11. Not only the Celestial kingdom is glorious... more glorious than this earth... all the kingdoms are.. this earth is without glory. After all it is where Satan was cast down.
  12. Are we to get closed in with particulars?... Apostles are prophets seers and revelators... They jointly are the church leaders with the Prophet. The prophet does not stand alone. He is just the last word...
  13. What do we do with the 'fallen state' in all of these aligories? Personally I see this as a chance to be redeemed-- pain has a purpose in redemption. It molds our characters, gives us sensitivity and compassion for others OR it makes us bitter and hardened --causing us to declare there is no God. One person once stated that truth divided people. I say pain and suffering does as well. This is their purpose. This is the purpose of a life's sentence here on this planet. Joseph Smith once was credited with saying that if we could see what was on the other side, many would be committing suiside to get there. The telestial kingdom / hell is on the other side... so is this place worse than hell? I say it is. Wickedness flurishes with no effort and righteousness struggles. If you can come out of this life with your heart filled with charity-- you truly have grown due to the enormous amount of opposition you have faced and overcome. Paul once stated that he rejoiced in affliction because it would warrant for him a greater glory in the life to come. This life is our time to prepare to be worthy ..... to meet God Himself.
  14. Scriptures are mostly anecdotal-- just written by ancient men, some prophets, others leaders, others witnesses. I wouldn't discount an idea or concept on the basis of it not being found in the scriptures. as they are quite abridged and much of them missing. Also, temples were not a main subject found in the scriptures. If I were interested in temples, and what happened within them, I would go to a source of modern origin. Now that is just me. If you could show me a scriptural reference that detailed a daily experience in a temple where something other than routines, I would be really interested.
  15. You want proof that your opinion is wrong. I want proof that mine is.
  16. Great information. We are too acustomed to old hearsay word meanings. We do the same thing with doctrines. Thanks for the breath of fresh air.
  17. Oh, and by the way... I am sure you already know but as it so happens, there is not a single demonstrated case in the whole of human history when it has been proven that God either killed someone or let someone be killed in order to let His judgement rest on the wicked. Not even one. Coincidence? Can you prove this? I think not... unless you know the mind of God.
  18. Maybe you have to be important for Satan to bother with ya... just a thought.
  19. Wow.. early release.. so cool... : )
  20. LOL... you were lucky.. longevity is in mine as well... but I think I will take the short stay... : D
  21. Moro. 7: 12, 24 12 Wherefore, all things which are good cometh of God; and that which is evil cometh of the devil; for the devil is an enemy unto God, and fighteth against him continually, and inviteth and enticeth to sin, and to do that which is evil continually.
  22. There is a scripture in Moroni 10 which states 'all good cometh of Christ'... is seems to follow-- 'all evil cometh of satan or his kind.' As a man thinketh-- is another good one. If satan can influence our thoughts-- then-- Sorry-- that first reference is in Moroni 7-- : D
  23. How true.
  24. I am condemned if I do and comdemned if I don't. I made a statement and backed it up with references. the last time I didn't-- one as astute as yourself called me on it. Tested and tempted-- depends upon how good you are. Consider Job.
  25. I would think most understand that our bodies are also temples. If we have the Holy Ghost within us, we are safe no matter where we are. As for the temples-- if we are not worthy while in the temple it isn't any safer than if we were outside it. and if we are worthy we are just as safe within its walls as outside them... Safety is within. Temples are a refuge fromt he world, but not necessarily from being tested.
