Frustrations in being single
Lbybug replied to AngelLynn's topic in Young Single Adults, College and Institute
i completely agree miss. i've always been taught "if you can't be happy by yourself, you will find it difficult to be happy with someone else". i've finally got to the point in my life, a few years ago, where i'm comfortable being alone. i used to hate it. but now i don't mind it. i know that if i am single forever, i'll be ok. i know if i find that special someone, i'll be ok. i trust in the Lord that no matter what He has in store for me, it involves my hapiness. and i'm ok with that. -
Frustrations in being single
Lbybug replied to AngelLynn's topic in Young Single Adults, College and Institute
When i was 18 i planned on being married by the time i was 21...and maybe have a kid. when i turned 21 i was extremely devestated that none of this happened and went into a depression for a few years. i am now 27, almost 28, and still single, with no eternal prospects. As i look back on my life, i am SO happy i am not married yet. or have kids yet. that's not to say i don't want them, i do. i just know that when the Lord thinks i am ready, i will be ready.. I have to get my own life in check before i can bring anyone else into it. and i'm working on it. i prayed a few months back that the Lord would help me get on the path i needed to be on to help me recieve the blessings in store for me. and i know he is preparing that path for me. and as long as i keep working on my part of it, the blessings will come. i'm far from where i need to be in order to recieve these blessings, but i am doing the best i can. and that's all He asks. do the best we can. keep praying and following the path of righteousness and these blessings will come to you in time. -

if she's living in your house you have every right to tell her no. if she chooses to move out because she can't follow your rules, that's her choice. she's 19. but it is your house. your roof. if you're paying for her phone and car you have every right to take it away. although i don't see how that helps solve the problem, i'd think it would just make her lash out more. i'd sit down with her and set ground rules. and if she can't follow them, she would have to choose to live else where. just my opinion.

how should I pray
Lbybug replied to glennh's topic in Learn about The Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints
*sings* i begin by saying dear Heavenly Father i thank him for blessing he sends, then humbly i ask him for things that i need. in the name of Jesus Christ amen. *takes a bow* also using words like thee, thy, thine, etc. but ass mnn said, pray from the heart. -
it's probably a bit now, but i think it'll look cute pinkerson. good choice.

i agree with them .... i don't get it. -
There are only some things a Father can help. There are times when all we want is our Father. It is in these times that we need our Heavenly Father. For us to remember we are eternally loved. For us to remember we are His children. Sometimes we need physical help, and in those times, he sends another. Sometimes we need spiritual help, and in those times it is He who is there for us.

YouTube - Day in the life of an LDS missionary or maybe something like this?

well if you're not going to church, that would be priority 1 to go on a mission. so your reasons seem to be: meet people help people get blessings what do you want to help the people with? what do you think the reasons other people choose to go on missions are? have you talked to missionaries in your area about why they are on their missions? why they chose to serve the Lord?
-
yay. we love you too.

i agree with doc. talk to a professional/your bishop/someone alone. pray alone. have your name put on the prayer list at the temple.
