  1. Understood Ray. :) I see that your worldview is about sharing what you think you know from God. Ray, "I'll share what I know from God too." My point is, this knowledge will conflict at times and we will both be claiming that God revealed it to us. As you said, and I agree, God is consistent, all truth should line up (at least theoretically). What will we do when we come to an impasse? Just say, "Your info is from Satan and mine is from God!" This is where this thread has taken up and still there is no standard we can use as a framework. Dr. T
  2. Hi Ray, When I know you're wrong, I'll let you know. :) Dr. T
  3. Hey Maureen, As I often hear (when people explain LDS doctine to me) "pretty simple" or "it's not a hard concept to understand." Is that your take this?

  10. Hi Allmosthumble, I love how you post was humble! Well done. I'm interested in seeing how MDB responds. Dr. T
  11. Hello all, Very good points. I love to learn from you all. :) I also think the "risk" is different. Finances vs. eternal security seems a bit different. MBASS have you ever made a million dollar deal? How much security would you want before risking that? That is why I am seeking truth. I believe there is a God. What can I know of Him? I love exploring it... Dr. T
  12. Interesting question Sissy.
  13. Hello all, I had to step back for a minute. Ray, your "I know what God has told me is true" idea against anyone else's "I know what God has to me is true" argument has not been answered. You just repeatedly say that you ask God and He gives you assurance. What of everyone else who prays to God and get the assurance that LDS beliefs are false? What do we do then? Continue to say, "I right!" "No, I'm right!!" ad infinitum? I don’t think that everyone can be correct. I do believe in absolutes. I haven’t done much study on relativism but on the surface it feels good but I don’t think that it holds up. As Shan said, “What happens in the end”? If LDS is wrong, you guys are in a heap of trouble. In Christians are wrong, they still make it to the lower level of heaven. Weigh your options. I also agree with you on your point that God's truth is God's truth consistently and without error. Were are we to go from here? Lovingly, Dr. T

  15. Hi Lindy, You didn't even use any exclamation marks or one of these and you call that a rant? I'm sure your husband (if you have one) doesn't know what he has in you when you guys argue.
