  1. I love my mid thigh shorts. And, I'm not perfect. I wear leggings under them in the spring and in the summer I'll show my skin. I'll also wear a different pair in gym class. I don't wear long sweaters and leggings.
  2. I find it rather attractive when the young men step up and help :)
  3. Aw! this gives me hope. I'm a cuddler and while not near marriage I'm glad theres guys out there that can appreciate cuddling :)
  4. Moving people is a big problem in my ward. MormonMusic list sounds great. Usually in my ward its my brother and a few old guys in there 60's and mostly unable to really lift.. showing up and helping all day. And, no one else....
  5. When I was a 3, 13 lovely years ago, I was being potty trained and stood up in church flipped up my dress and yelled "Look mommy! No panties" In the middle of the meeting. I was a trickster and took them off My mom had my brother before she met my father. My mom was 19, my dad was 28 at this time. My mom was attending the singles ward with my brother and my dad was teaching. My mom said he threw up all over everyone and everyone went home early. A few weeks later my mom introduced her self and my dad said "The mom of the kid who puked right?" Little did she know that a month or so after the puking incident my dad was in love with my brother (more so then with her or so says my mother.). My dad sat next to them in church and would point to himself and say "daddy" and then point to my brother and say 'zacky'. Keep in mind my parents were dating for a few weeks. My brother stood up on the pew and pointed to my dad and yelled "Daddy!" A few members afterwards asked if they were getting married. My mom didn't realize my dad taught Zack to say this. She was convinced that Zack had chosen his dad and she decided at that moment she'd marry that man. My dad proposed a few months later.
  6. It's true! Its the stupid italian blood! ALL guys are short here. And, I'm 5'5. So, its not like I'm super tall.
  7. It is! Stupid snow AND short guys. But, I get to live really close to the temple so it makes up for it. Did you know some people save money for YEARS before they can fly to a temple and get married!! I should be more thankful.
  8. All my young women leaders are from Utah. I live in NY
  9. I'm probably not bringing a car but I'll keep all this in mind. Thanks :)
  10. Well, I'm going to BYU Idaho next fall so thats great to hear!
  11. Oh, I've suggested it. I've suggested all sorts of things. Instead, we paint and go to plays. We only do those kind of things when we combine with the young men. And, my leaders wonder why during BYC I ask the ym if I can join they're hikes and such. Note: I've never actually joined them. I ask in joking. I fully understand the young men need man bonding time.
  12. I'm glad theres other young women that want to DO things. not just paint crap. Or glue paper togather.. Why would I glue paper togather? Whats the point? I have like 4 colleges of crap thats 'appealing to my values' and 'represents me' I just want to shoot something. is that wrong? No.
  13. I'm sick of painting cutsy signs for my room. I wanna go shoot something! Or do a self defense class! I'd be okay with sitting at the church reading scriptures togather or playing board games. But painting? I'm just as crafty as the next girl but 3 weeks in a row of painting random crap just annoys me. I DON"T LIKE WASTING MY TIME. EDIT: OH AND I've told them I'm leaving for college. I can't keep filling my life with worthless crap. I'm throwing it all out in less then 6 months! And yet, there like "Oh, Liz would find that adorable. She'd love it we should paint it for mutual." No, I DON"T LIKE IT. You like it. We do what the leaders want to do. We went to a play. Why? because the leaders wanted to. NONE of the girls wanted to. NONE of us. ERGGEWGE .... ranting over.
  14. When leaders say something to the group but really mean one person. "Mutual is important. I don't waste my time planning activities for no one to show up." I was the only one not there. And, I was sick. I was pissed. I still am. In fact, I think I'll skip tomorrows stupid mutual. All we do is paint crap.
  15. A family I babysit for has rows of canned chocolate bars and about 3 cans of soup haha.
  16. My grandma did this :) Quite a few times actually... She's been married about 8 times. Shes a member. Shes also a nurse and takes care of these older guys shes marrying. The last one ended up being a complete creep who'd had some kind of child abuse charges. She ended up divorcing him. And, its not like my grandma really needs the money...its the idea of taking care of someone that she likes. She pulled me aside when I was 15 and told me "Liz, get out of High School marry a rich guy with money and take care of him for a few years before he dies. Then, it'll pay for your college and perhaps even beyond. " "thanks grandma." "Anytime dear" My mom just laughed when I told her....My grandmas kinda eccentric.
  17. Remember that it doesn't matter who your attending church with. Its good to be social but thats not the soul purpose of church. Going to church is for the spiritual reasons not social. The sacrament and gaining knowledge. Besides, think in a eternal perspective. You'll get to see these friends in the eternities too :)
  18. You should ask the bishop if its provided. The first time I went to the temple at 12 nothing was explained to me. I'm guessing the young women leaders thought my parents would (and although they're active they at that time didn't have temple recommends). And, the bishop assumed the young women president would tell me. I just called my cousin up who told me there'd be extra underwear for me. My brother told me the young men got underclothes. In my temple they give the young women a onsie and thats it. As a new beehive I was really confused and no one told me to bring an extra bra. I'm sure other young women in the ward went without due to things not being explained. Now I always tell the new girls (and sometimes the old) to bring extra underwear. The Portland Oregon temple provided the young women with white sports bras which was really nice :)
  19. I haven't seen these A's at all...and I have quite a few athiest friends.
  20. Thanks Soul :) I haven't spoken to his parents directly. From what I've gleaned from his friends/fb, asked and double checked with him his parents wont mind. And, after all lukes studying and (kyle and luke) hearing me rant on about random things that I don't want to bug people with they both kinda deserve it :)
  21. I was planning on the flat rate boxes :) They really are the best deal :) I do plan on sending a few non church things but I basically asked to see if i left anything churchy out.
  22. it's not having the information its the time for church and the activities. His parents literally have him study 3-4 hours after school for his GCES in June. Not a bad thing, he just doesn't have the time...EDIT: You edited before I got to you :)
  23. His parents don't mind. They won't let him go to church because they want him focused for his GCES (school tests.) but after that they said they'd talk to him about it. He has pictures of the prophets printed and hung on the wall. He requested scriptures from lds.org and got them mailed to him. The missionaries dropped a few pamphlets off. And, his parents are buying him a CTR ring. It's not a religious thing. His family isn't religious. They just don't want him busy because they're very school focused. And, Back to the original intended topic: What should I include ?
