Cal, how do you explain Clinton's bombing of Iraq due to WMDs and breach of protocol w/ the UN? How do you explain the hours and hours of testimony given during the Clinton administration on how Iraq needed to be handled ASAP due to being a threat and due to the knowledge given by the CIA that they possessed WMDs and were willing to sell them to other terrorists? How do you explain Kerry's own words during Clinton's administration that Iraq was a direct threat to the US and that Saddam Hussein had flagrantly disobeyed the UN resolutions?

I agree curvette...I'm highly disappointed that Kerry refuses to acknowledge his crappy Senate career and instead focused on FOUR MONTHS of service that happened over 25 years ago! He was in the Senate for over 20 years!!! I don't care about who served in Vietnam and who didn't...Clinton was the best draft dodger of them all!! Instead of the personal attacks and the "WE WILL FIND OSAMA BIN LADIN!!"...I want to see "I will do THIS and I can prove it based on my voting record and actions in the Senate"

you havea personality disorder don't you

well if BUSH lied, then Clinton lied... ya know, to top that off: kerry lied, hillary lied, ted kennedy lied, etc, etc, etc... This whole ordeal wasn't unique to Bush Jr. It's not like he came into office and said "Hey guys, get THIS!!" This has been going on for 20+ years and there are tons and tons of quotes from the Clintons and crew where THEY felt that Iraq was an immediate threat, that Iraq had WMD's, that Iraq was tied to Al-Qaeda, etc, etc, etc...so were THEY lying in the 90's?? *edited to say* I'd take first hand eye witness information like what Outshined wrote over any conspiracy theories any day...

a: it's IRAQ not IRAK b: it's KERRY not KAREY So...Kerry had NO access to "intelligence" when he was on the intelligence committee?

they filled my cousin's car w/ live crickets!!! course he didn't get married in the temple...LIVE CRICKETS!!
-
I wonder how the National Guardsmen of today feel when people insult the NG so much?
-
shan i agree, however..there's a time and a place for everything...in all the weddings i've been to (civily), the hooplah and celebration doesn't take place until after the reception...the church grounds are respected by not trashing the grounds w/ confetti/shaving cream/etc... although: it's funny that most LDS receptions are at LDS church buildings...hmmm...lol i think it's a matter of respect for the holiness and sanctity of the temple, not whether we're allowed to celebrate an eternal union...just as one is not allowed to take cameras into a chapel and videotape a sacrament meeting...it's about respect for things sacred...
-
Not to mention the fact that this happened in WASHINGTON DC...not out in some podunk woods where only a handful of farmers saw it happen...shaaaaeeeesh!! Maybe it was a Jedi Mind Trick "You saw an airplane fly low overhead and crash into an important government building"</handwave>

I seriously doubt this teacher PURPOSEFULLY LIED...that's a little forceful...probably an innocent mistake..there are lots of people in my family who don't think about urban legends and tend to believe the "more believable" ones that come through the email chain....

THIEF!!!! ha ha ha ha *edited* Where in Tenn. are you from?

funny...i've heard from MANY people that if you're looking for a job, utah is NOT the place to go..in fact MANY friends who have tried to stay put in salt lake have been forced to move out of state to keep their careers and their lives afloat... and wow, are there ONLY lds girls in utah? i didn't know that!! you don't see the correlation because you aren't willing to make the changes in your life...you didn't answer my question: what did you get your degrees in?
-
I'm sorry jack, but your statement holds no water with me. You are equating serving 2 years on a mission and 8 years of schooling with your lack of income...Sorry, I don't buy it and in fact I think you are looking for an excuse to blame something for why you are not where you thought you would be... case in point: my brother served his 2 years, earned his bachelor's and master's...he married and had a child while finishing school..he owns a home in W. Jordan and has a successful career working in the Church Finance Department and recently his wife gave birth to their third child...he also teaches at the LDS business college for extra cash in addition to his newfound career as an author...so why is HE doing well, but you aren't? It has nothing to do with schooling or luck, it has everything to do with ambition, motivation, and desire... I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess you live in Utah. Utah is one of THE worst places to be looking for a job these days. It is also one of THE worst places to date if you're over the age of 25-27...You want to make more money, you want to find a spouse, you want to pay off your bills? Stop settling for a less-than-average job and move to where the money is. Unless you degree'd in Basket Weaving, I can almost guarantee there is a market out there for your skills. And because you ARE single, you can easily up and move w/o worrying about how it affects others. Please don't claim you can't "afford" to move. Anyone w/ a car can pack their life up and make a change. People do it every day. You don't see the logic in having an education, yet knowledge is the one thing we take with us when we die. How about some statistics? Go read the link Snow posted. Educated people do better. There are no "ifs, ands, or buts" about it. YOU don't see the logic because YOU are in a funk. Get out of the funk and you will see your hard work pay off. Your schooling has nothing to do with your marital status either, that's a cop-out. Sorry that I'm not sugary sweet in telling you that of course it's all your education's fault...but that's just lame! What did you get your degrees in? What is your current position? Who did you take out on a date last weekend? lol!! Stop blaming the SMART choices you've made in achieving your education and start doing something about your life....

Except maybe Arnold Schwartznegger! :) (I guess you'd have had to see the movie...) that movie is quite interesting to watch while pregnant...rofl! i especially can relate to the part where arnold goes to the ex-wife and she's eating dinner and they end up eating EVERYTHING under the sun...when we were in panama city last week we went to this buffet place...they had chinese food, seafood, italian...rofl...my husband was in awe at how varied my plate was!!! course i paid for it later w/ a masssssssive case of heartburn, but i digress...

not that I have anything to add to this convo, but I wanted to point out that we're naming our son Isaac :)

but doesn't it make you feel good that we can gripe about childbirth and He'll understand, while no male on this earth will? sidenote: i'm petrified of the end of my ticker...
-
well...what he did not "experience" physically, he experienced in the Garden...that's what I was always taught growing up...that he took on not only our sins, but also all of our pain, sickness, misery, etc...so he COULD have had an idea of what childbirth felt like..who knows..lol but as far as what Setheus said, I agree...as he's talking from a male perspective...or something...lol
