  1. .......... I kinda like that, church girl.
  2. Oh, that is very true. We arent the first to pass through mortality as a test. I agree with you, and apologize for not pointing that out in the beginning. Yet, are there different qualifications in the preexistence as lets say.... mortality? I was just trying to lay out some ideas. That sounds a bit apostate, yet the only reason that spark this current train of thought is that Jesus was part of Deity in the preexistence. No one else achieved that. Jesus of course had to go through this earth and get sealed, etc. But Jesus was Jehovah before going through mortality. Hence, my questions/ train of thought. Do I explain myself a little bit?
  3. Crimson- thank you for your thoughts. I am not entirely sure about the accuracy either, since not much has been publicly taught. They were just some thoughts I have picked up on and thought it may be interesting, as you say.
  4. Would you please quote your sources on that statement. Thank You. :) Sure. Doctrines of Salvation by Joseph Fielding Smith. A few other things that have alluded to such (and please be kind, since I am not declaring anything) in my opinion are 2 Nephi 14 and the book Life Everlasting by Duane Crowther, and a few quotes from Hugh Nibley in books such as Temple and Cosmos, Zion, etc. These are some things I have picked up and therefore assume. Yet I am a man, and can be wrong. It made quite a bit of sense to a few questions I have had, therefore, I write this post. Thanx for your reply MrsS and I do hope for any kind of response. I do after all just want to learn truth even if I am wrong.
  5. Guys, really. Why waste time when no one will yield to the other? The only two cents is that if you feel comfortable playing drums, guitars, etc. in Jesus's presence, or better yet, witnessing his suffering... then that is entirely up to you. Music inspires, even music with drums, guitars, etc. Some music, however, is meant for reflection and revelation, not inspiration in the adrenaline sense. I have been to other churches sacraments and watched even their modern day christian concerts. Some were actually very, very good. But, I do prefer our sacremental hymns because the majority talk of sacred things and set the tone for such. I wish you all the best of luck. Adomini
  6. Ok, I have something that might shed a bit light on that.....but, this is some stuff I have picked up, not necessarily saying this is how it is..... Jesus was a god before the earth and the fall of man. Rules given to mortals to become one like our Heavenly Father have not been given yet.... since we havent fallen yet nor were we mortal at the time. Maybe Jesus attained perfection in the premortal existence because he was the only sinless one in our premortal state? Jesus was half mortal on earth, being born of a mortal woman. Mortal rules applied then when he was on earth. He never broke an ordinance or a law, he was that perfect. Yet...... premortal existence was before the fall, hence before redemption, hence before rules given to return back to our heavenly father. This is going out on a limb, but there was a difference before our mortality and afterwards. We lived with god in his presence before, and we need to be sealed to live LIKE him afterwards. Any thoughts? Or does some of this sound too distorted...... Adomini
  7. You are nitpicking the faith and good standing of millions AND the word of God by the term "adieu"? Are you serious? That is so laughable it almost isnt deserving of a response ( but I do have so much free time....) I think the logical and intelligent answer you seek has already been given by more intelligent LDS members than myself. Yet reading your post, I wonder what it is that you are looking for. ADIEU
  8. well said. I certainly agree with you.
  9. Dude.....all I can say is that is really, really awesome. I have never heard/learned that before. Very nice.
  10. Um, the scriptures state in DC that if the church continued polygamy.... the government would take our temples and jail everyone. Its really that simple. Besides, polygamy is needed anyway if you get to the higher order in the celestial kingdom. Why are there more women than men? Um think of the 1/3 of the host of heaven who were cast away. Hint: they were all priesthood holders and male. So, a way is needed anyways for all women to have the chance to marry a righteous priesthood holder and get into the higher order(or at least the chance). Doctrine says this.
  11. uh....no, that wasnt it all all. Principle. Principle. Dont take all things literally. It IS a parable.
  12. Not sure what a parable telling us to be prepared for the coming of Christ is related to what we're talking about. oh trust me..... Parable of Ten Virgins does say a bit on the subject. References of Christs marraige are in the Bible, as previously shown in previous posts. Required for salvation to know? Hardly. But.... you are to seek knowledge and heavenly things while on earth. If someone, lets say, was very very close to the spirit and Christ himself.... how could they not know? It would be given if asked and sought. Corinthians 15 also briefly touches a few principles relating to such a topic. I am not trying to take up alot of your time, but there are things to know by revelation- you will find support for your revelations of the spirit in scripture. So, lets be faithful and seek out our salvation.
