  1. Last General Conference, the Choir at Temple Square did at least one item not from the hymn book.
  2. Or add a 4th ring....
  3. With a few more bottles, @Vort could finish off that second stage black ring and turn it blue.
  4. He checks his mail on Mondays
  5. Is this a cold case of animal cruelty?
  6. Please, please, please, for the sake of the wellbeing of the world, try harder.
  7. I've always thought to myself that having one active convert is enough to make a mission worthwhile.
  8. So we can use it for Easter as well?
  9. I have been to many celebrations of Christ's birth. Never once have I heard anybody sing the Happy Birthday song. Perhaps you could include this in your song list?
  10. Well I'm sure it's not going to take you very long to work out something else.
  11. What is the difference between going beyond the mark and going the extra mile?
  12. I'm going to slink quietly off, defeated, into my corner
  13. Just out of curiosity, can anyone tell me if the big tobacco companies own any share of the e-cigarette and vaping companies? If they do, then they would continue to make profits even when people are giving up smoking.
  14. Whatever people do and whatever happens to them, it will be a result of their own decisions and the Plan of Salvation is so good that almost all of us will end up in a place where we are happy.
  15. And in breaking news, announced just today, in the Victorian state election campaign............. Labor pledges free tampons and pads in Victoria's public schools Girls will receive free tampons and pads at Victorian state schools if Labor is re-elected, premier Daniel Andrews has pledged. In an announcement on Twitter on Thursday morning, he said" "It’s an Australian first. It’s the right thing to do." https://www.theage.com.au/politics/victoria/labor-pledges-free-tampons-and-pads-in-victoria-s-public-schools-20181115-p50g7d.html
  16. Isn't this just a legalising of the frequently practiced idea of (usually) women who are 40 simply saying they've been 25 for the last 15 years? It's not all that uncommon where I come from
  17. From the article: But I’ve moved forward now and I’ve gone back to being a child This sentence ^^ has some similarities to a self contradicting statement. You move forward by going back?
  18. If I call 13 74 25 after hours, eventually (it could be up to 2 hours) a doctor will come to my home and conduct a consultation and perhaps even make a diagnosis and issue a prescription. This is a national service, available to pretty much anybody. I won't pay anything directly for this service, although eventually I pay for it through the medicare levy. It's one of the methods the government has devised to reduce the number of people going to the emergency ward of the local hospital for things that are not really emergencies, which is a much more expensive way of treating a problem than a home visit by a doctor. How much would a home visit by a doctor cost in your part of the world?
  19. This is not a critical question, but just motivated by curiosity. Would the careful consideration by parliamentarians and Congressmen, and the opportunities for the public to provide input into the legislative process count as due process?
  20. This is slightly off topic, but a few months back, after many many years of protest, the Australian government finally removed the General Sales Tax on tampons.
  21. Yes, in fact his mission shares a border with our mission. It's one of the geographically largest missions in the world, stretching 3,000 kilometers south to north and includes all of South Australia and Northern Territory and parts of New South Wales. Its about 1,200 kilometers from our city to the main city of his mission. We plan on picking him up when he finishes.
  22. Not likely - we have an excellent tax-payer funded system of universal health care here.
  23. Could you elaborate please?
  24. Hmm, let me see now. "Universal" health care for: @Vort, yes we should care for the elderly, and he's of an age where he probably won't need it for too many more years @MormonGator, @Fether and @LiterateParakeet? No, that would be vet care. @zil? IN NO WAY, IN ANY FORM, ANYWHERE, EVER. @anatess2 and @Sunday21 Yes, with the best possible doctors on call 24 hours a day @Carborendum no, that would be stone masonry for the rough stone rolling @lostinwater perhaps not, it could be for a lost cause @pam Why? @Traveler No, should be covered by travel er insurance @NeuroTypical not typically
  25. New Zealand is Australia's dumping ground for all sorts of unwanted items.
