These are divine in my opinion. You can also get them in individual serving sized bags. I think I could actually eat them until I vomit, do so then repeat the process.

And there is no law stating I have to believe with or without sources, I'm just a lot more likely to do so if you can back up your claim. If you quote someone and I ask, "Uh, where did he say that?" and you come back with, "Oh somewhere, sometime possibly on this planet, if you are that curious you can can go look it up." don't expect me to give you much weight. Think of it this way: Person A: The Savior said, "Cheese is divine and if you eat it while riding a skateboard your salvation is assured no matter what you do." Person B: *Skeptical* Where did he say that? Person A: Look, he did okay, its public knowledge if you really want to know you can go look it up. Person B: You're bent! I'm kinda inclined to side with B not with A.

Oh certainly, there are lots of things that aren't commanded that are up to personal opinion, this topic is one of them. :)

Conference protesters and counter-protestors do interviews
Dravin replied to LittleWyvern's topic in Current Events
My guess is our 'ignorance', if we would but see the bold truth of various lines of scripture that we fully agree with and their signs that say, "You R teh Brianwashed!" we'd snap out of it and become protestants like them. Only problem is that if the leadership of the Church is as good at brainwashing me as they think how on earth do they think a couple lines of scripture I fully agree with and a sign informing me of my brainwashed status is going to break me free? My favorite was some guy (20s) in a devil costume, horns, tail, pitchfork and all standing next to protesters with a sign saying, "I'm with stupid." who occasionally cackled and cooed, "Yes my minions! Yes!" -
I'm a gamer but of the PC persuasion.

Another dating dilemma

I don't think its a thing of the past, I just think some of us have troubles getting it down. P.S. Yes, I am socially inept. -
Not technically, we declared war against Germany, Italy and Japan (and I'd expect military documents to reflect this) not an ideology or political party. I mentioned people talked about it because people use words in lots of different ways, I for instance can say I waged war aginst the weeds in the garden, or I'm loosing the war against baldness (now that's something the US should get behind! ), these however are not one political entity declaring war on another, at least not in a formal or legal sense. The US Military (and Government at large) is a bureaucracy and they tend to be picky about words, random people tend not to be so. Then it'd be more accurate to state its a war on X network or networks (assuming it was declared by congress), its not just a war on all terrorists anywhere, for instance if Ireland went pair shaped I doubt we'd be sending in Marines. Personally, I'm kinda meh on the whole debate. If the name changes or stays the same it won't bother me much if at all.

No need to apologize. Prejudice is not inherently bad, if 9 times out of 10 people mean it the way you take it one can hardly fault you for assuming the 10th one was going along. Thats how I take people's discomfort with the idea of Christians being less predominant. The idea isn't just limited to Christians, I could imagine democrat who saw that number of people who affiliated with the party decrease by 10% giving the same reaction of discomfort. They're be some differences of course but I could see the same thought process. It'd happen any time you have a group of people gathered around an ideal (or ideals) who sees that group and it's influence diminishing.

I do believe the position of those in favor of a name change are saying its not. Me I'm kinda inclined to agree, war is declared against entities not ideologies. I am aware of the rhetorical use of the term war (and people are still free to call it the War on Terror) and realize it isn't quite as stringent, for instance people in WW2 probably talked about the War on Nazism or some such but I doubt any official military documents used that phrase (could be wrong). To sum up, I have no problem people calling it war, I also have no problem with the government changing its terminology as no official declaration of war was leveled against the nation/Kingdom/Republic/ect of Terror.

And even a non-Mormon can understand, "We are commanded by God not to drink it, so we don't." Its easy as an intellectual exercise but emotional component, the 'gut' or grok not so much. I've encountered people who don't get why premartial sex is a big deal even when they understand the whole command from God bit. Yes they understand that why we don't, but at the same time they don't understand in the same way somebody who holds that position does. Seriously, all I was saying is, "Yeah, it can be hard to fully understand why people do things when they aren't the things that you yourself do or see things the way they do when they aren't your viewpoints." Sheesh, you try and agree with somebody that sometimes others are hard to fathom and look what happens. :) Don't recall ever saying otherwise, actually... Ah, here we are:

I understand what you are saying, there are people who are of the bent, "Teh Non-Christian is teh EvIl!!11! I hat the non-Christian11!" I don't think that's everyone who uses the term. I suppose though it could be enough of 'em to prejudice one against the phrase. However if somebody has a set of ideas and principles that is espoused in Christianity and they see the decline of Christianity as the diminishing of those principles and ideals I can understand why they worry. Just like how there are those who see a bunch of ideals and principles they don't espouse in Christianity and look forward to this kind of news as it means less resistance to what they want. *shrug*.

I had a problem with pornography and I served a mission. Also, if everything isn't straigtened out before you turn 19 don't fret, you can still go on a mission, I didn't go until I was 22, I think you can leave as late as 25.

One could however say its a nation of Christians (obviously not exclusively so), which is what a I think a lot of people mean when they use the phrase, "Christian Nation.". Now anyone who maintains that Christianity is enshrined (some principles yes, but the religion no) or held up by the Constitution is mistaken.

It is a nick name for a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Mormon.org - Home or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints would be a good place to poke around, the former particularly if you are interested in basic beliefs.

I'd like to point out that Dr. Mengele was a scientist*. Scientists are not any more immune to being horrible people then anyone else. Also, being religious and being a scientist are not mutually exclusive. To say one must be one or the other is a false dichotomy. * An unethical scientist but one nonetheless.

The stock market isn't like football either.

That I did not know. I knew there was a pocket Book of Mormon and a pocket New Testament didn't know the D&C and Pearl of Great Price were also available. Sheesh, I would have killed for those (okay, not really) on my mission.

In the Garden of Eden? Immediately after the flood? Of course it probably didn't take to long after those events for one to get off to a running start. :)

Another dating dilemma

Hallo me. Well, except this me hasn't gone out of any dates like the abc123 me apparently has. :) -
True that, a little applesauce reside left over from lunch on their shirt isn't gonna hurt'em any.

I think one of the key differences is that for you to 'win' nobody else has to 'lose'. I invest in Apple, there stock goes through the roof, that isn't because I'm getting everyone's money who invested in Microsoft.

I thought there has been significant economic changes over the past several decades. The point is taken however, we won't nuke you != We're gonna hole democratic elections next spring.

If you don't need the Index/Topical Guide/Bible Dictionary just get a pocket BoM (distribution center) and a pocket KJV (any decent christian book store will have one), you can also get the D&C as a seperate book in softcover here. At least I think you can, it lists the pages at only 25, so that either isn't all of the D&C or they made a mistake. End result: Pocket Bible & Book of Mormon Possible Doctrine and Covenants in soft cover. I think you are out of luck with the PoG price though. Of course if you just got an economy triple and a pocket Bible that would cut down on what you are carrying around to one book in hand and one in pocket and only run you like $15.

You could keep track over the course of a couple weeks how many outfits they go through (or something shorter like a week) let them have an outfit or two extra from what ever that number turns out to be and get rid of the rest. Little kids can be tricker because they have a habit of going through more than one set of clothes a day. Me I live off maybe 7-10 (and I could get rid of a couple that are ratty only 'round the house or under a hoodie things) t-shirts, 1 pair of Sunday clothes and 3-4 (well, that's what I'd need for once a week laundry, it gets done a lot more than that so I've only 2 pairs) pairs of jeans (yes, I'm one of those grody people that will wear a pair of jeans more than one day) with and appropriate number of socks and under garments to match. Now of course a job could easily upset that, or kids it could be Jr. soccer or what have you. Actually how often you do laundry makes a big difference, every three days can get you buy with less clothes than once a week.

We may be suffering from miscommunication. We were comparing things I feel are sinful for me to partake of or otherwise offensive vs things they (hypothetical they) don't find such. I think premarital sex is a sin, they don't therefore they may have trouble understanding why I think its bad. I think taking the name of the Lord is a sin and offensive to boot and don't want to sit through it, they don't have a problem so they may have trouble understanding why I do. I think partaking of coffee is a sin thus won't drink it, they don't and therefore may have trouble understanding why I don't drink it. See the pattern? If you thought I was saying, "You people who drink coffee are horrible sinners on par with people who commit premarital sex!" then I failed at communication.
