As Ben and Fender have mentioned, here in England we have the civil marriage ceremony first (required for the marriage to be legal in the eyes of the law), normally held in the Chapel. There's then the option for a reception in the cultural hall or to go elsewhere. And then off to the Temple afterwards. Some may well skip the reception and go straight to the Temple or have the reception after the Temple but I have never known anyone to do it in that order. My wedding was held in the Chapel around 10am. It was decorated nicely but not OTT with flowers and we had a musical piece whilst we were out signing the marriage documents (also required here in UK) and then afterwards we had some talks. Then we had the photos done outside with all our guests and bridesmaids etc. And then we proceeded on to a venue where we had our meal, speeches, cutting of the cake and all that. We chose not to have it in the cultural hall as we wanted it to be a bit more 'cosy' and personal. Around 5pm those of us who were going to the Temple left, and my husband and I were then sealed for eternity in the London Temple that evening. That 'setup' is very normal here in England and I can only assume that the same civil ceremony 'setup' could be used anywhere in the world within the Church. Good luck with it all. :)

I checked out the Eglu website. I really want one with a few chickens when we eventually buy a house with a garden. Would be great to have a regular supply of fresh eggs and the kids would love the chickens! Thanks for that link!

(My apologies for digressing from the main question - just wanted to share this...) Our current Bishop is divorced but remarried years before he became Bishop. I heard from his daughter (my sister-in-law) that he had said he was 'safe' from becoming a Bishop because he had been divorced. A few months later he was called as our Bishop with the approval of The First Presidency. :)

My husband writes music - mix of rock,metal and classical. He is very creative in writing stories as well. In general, he is a very talented guy! :)

I have not been inside many Temples. Seen lots from the outside. Hawaii was definitely very beautiful! I have participated in baptisms in the Provo Temple and in the Sweden Temple. As an endowed member I have only ever been to the London Temple. However, my favourite is a Temple which I have never been inside to participate in Temple Ordinances... It is the Copenhagen, Denmark Temple. The Temple is actually a building with plenty of history. I believe it started out as a Government building or some kind of official building and then it was dedicated as a Chapel/Meetinghouse for our church and now it has been transformed and re-dedicated as a Temple. It became a Temple after I moved away from Denmark. I grew up going to the Chapel there for plenty of firesides and meetings and youth dances and dance-group practice in the basement. I have lots of fond memories from that building and it will always have a special place in my heart and I look forward to going there someday soon hopefully. Copenhagen Denmark LDS (Mormon) Temple

I love pretty much all of these! I am a total huge fan of Batman Begins and can't wait to see the new one soon. Uhmmm, some other films that I love... Stardust Enchanted (when my daughter watches it the songs are stuck in my head for the rest of the day! ) 50 First Dates 28 Days Later - weren't too impressed with 28 Weeks Later (Yes, they're R-rated...naughty me!) The Prestige The Lord of The Rings Trilogy All films by M. Night Shamalammamamallalayaia (or whatever his name is...??! lol ok I just looked his name up and it's Shayamalan - I just keep forgetting ) and lots lots lots of other films! I have some kind of strange fascination with Zombie films (28 days later, Dawn of the dead, Resident Evil Trilogy and films like that...) and Disaster movies (like Day after Tomorrow, Deep Impact, Independence Day, The Abyss, 12 Monkeys, The Poseidon Adventure, The Towering Inferno, Titanic, Armageddon... etc etc...) I don't like supernatural horror films like The Ring and The Amityville Horror and The Exorcist and other films like that... They totally freak me out - so I stay far away from them!! (I saw a bit of The Ring a few years back and I still can't even hear others talk about the film without the hairs standing up on my back!) Although, at the same time I really liked What lies Beneath which was a little bit supernatural... (but I closed my eyes in those bits ) And I love films you have to think about... and films with a great message... and films with great cinematography... :) Lots of Teen movies can get on my nerves although I can sit through some and enjoy them to an extent. I love Comedy, Drama, Sci-Fi, Thrillers... especially films from the 80's: The Goonies, Back to the Future, E.T.... did I miss any genre? lol Overall I love watching films/movies. My hubby and I watch on average a new film per week (cheap date night at home lol) Anyways, sorry this went on for a bit... I guess what I'm trying to say is that I don't really have specific favourite films to recommend - just plenty of films that I really like ... (does that even make sense lol)
