NeuroTypical
The whacko guy is Roger K. Young, and he figures the tent cities will be the result of a massive "callout" for LDS folks, where basically the prophet says "everyone come gather in the mountains of [wherever], and all the faithful saints will live for a year in tents while the rest of the country goes to pot. And yes, he's still a whacko, growing numbers of congregating homeless folks notwithstanding. LM
funkymonkey
Hmmmm. So These tent cities are different than what he is talkin about. Maybe he had a dream about tent cities and then made a whole bunch of skitzo stuff up to go along with it.

checkerboy
Oh man I almost lived in a rented storage space before I got married. It would have been awesome. I just needed to figure out where to shower and I would have been set.

NeuroTypical
1. This thread was started in 2008. 2. Colorado Springs had a bunch of tent cities, which are now gone, after enacting a 'no camping in public places' ordinance. LM
