The Lakers kicked off their seven-game road trip with a 101-95 road victory over the New Orleans Hornets on Saturday. Pau led the with a season-high 34 points and 10 rebounds. Kobe stung the Hornets with 32 points, 9 boards and 5 assists. LO, Brown and Bynum all played well too. Go job boys. Keep it up!

Mephis up next:

The Lakers (35-16) continue their road trip tonight in Memphis against the Grizzlies (27-25). This will be the fouth and final meeting between the two teams this season with the Grizzlies holding a 2-1 edge. We can do it. They are barely over .500 but we lose to them anyway. WE CAN WIN TONIGHT.

Lakes won by 9 points. We had 6 players in double figures, all starts and L.O. LO also had a double double and Pau was one short of a double double (1 rebound short). Tonight's score was 93-84. That's two road games down and 5 to go during this outing. Good job boys!

In the power rankings this week we were again at position 5. They put the Spurs at spot 1.

With talk of trades, more knee issues for Andrew Bynum and another loss to an elite team, there was much to worry about in Lakerland last week. But L.A., at 12-6, has actually been the best team in the league statistically in 2011. They've outscored their opponents by 9.2 points per 100 possessions in the 18 games.

Following Wednesday’s practice in Boston, the Lakers didn’t talk much about the Celtics. But that’s only because many of the questions from reporters centered around a trade rumor involving Andrew Bynum, which didn’t mean much to Phil Jackson or so he put off. We'll see.

The Boston Celtics (38-13) got the best of the Lakers (36-16) in their NBA finals rematch a little more than a week ago in Los Angeles. Tonight LA looks for redemption against their oldest foe as the scene shifts to Boston.

First half, 45-53 Celtics. We were down 15 points early but we stepped up a little bit to bring it to 5 then they pulled a little farther away before the close of the half. Go Lakers! Kobe has not shot very many. Letting others do some work. :)

Celtics won 1st and 2nd quaters and Lakers won 3rd and 4th to take the win 92 to 86 in Boston. I'm very pleased with the 3rd road trip in a row especially against Boston. The Celtics have some injured players to they were light tonight. Ray Allen became the most prolific 3 point shooter in NBA history over Reggie Miller. Way to go Ray Allen. :) Kobe made 20 of his 23 points in the 2nd half tonight, Pau had 20 points and 10 assists, Bynum had 16 points and pulled down 9 boards, L.O., had another double-double with 10 pionts and 12 rebounds, and Shannon Brown had 12 points also. Good job Lakers!

Tonight we face the NY in NY. They have Stoudemire, which is great for them, but we look to beat them for the 8th straight time this evening. Come on boys!

At the half: Lakers rolling at the Garden, up 62-48 as the 1st half concludes. Kobe went for 23 points & 8 rebounds while Pau adds 12 points. LA shot 54.3% (25/46).

113-96 Lakers! Kobe with double-double, 33 points and 10 rebounds, Pau, 20 points. We had 5 players in double digits tonight. WTG Lakers! Shannon Brown had a killer alley-oop! The pass was far behind but he was able to grab it and flush it!

We are doing a great job on this road trip. The Lakers (38-16) face off against the Orlando Magic (34-11) for the first time this season at 12:30pm PT tomorrow. Keep it up boys!

On this 7 game road trip, 4 finished, we are yet to allow 100 points in any of the games. No we travel to FL and Howard who is a monster player. I hope Bynum and Pau play tough and the Lakers play as a team. GO LAKERS!

So far so bad vs. Orlando. We have very poor shooting percentages (3 point and field) and we are down 4 at the half. We can do it. Come on Lakers!

Bynum put up 17 points and had 9 rebounds but we fell 89-75 to the Magic in their house today. Kobe had 17 points and L.O. had 15. We just didn't bring it today. :( We'll give them one. ;)

The Lakers (38-17) are 4-1 on their current road trip. They play the Charlotte Bobcats (23-31) next. Kobe has "aches and chills." I'd guess he'll play anyway. I hope we do well. Go LAKERS!

This weeks Power Ranking puts Lakers back in the 4th position. It asked, "Which is more telling, the win against Boston or the loss against Orlando?" Those are good questions. I'll take the WIN over the Celtics to speak louder!

Kbe led with 20 points, Pau put up 17 points and 10 rebounds, Ron Artest added 10 points and LO had 9 points but the Lakers lost to the Bobcats 109-89 tonight on the road. I was afraid of that. We can't take teams lightly. Maybe it shows some fatigue.

We are playing the Cav's tonight and we've only made 5 of 21 shots so far and we're down by 10 in the first quarter! Come on Boys! Go LAKERS!
