gabelpa Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 The Associated Press: Scientists eye unusual swarm of Yellowstone quakesthere are other articles, but if the supervolcano in Yellowstone blows, it would take out most life across half the USA, and throw up enough soot and ash to plunge global temperatures long enough to cause near-extinction of many plants and animals.Given that an eruption is 40,000 years overdue by averages.. lilered Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 Okay, thanks for the heads up. Let's see if I got it right. We may be having a magnaminious giant earthquake from Yellowstone Park but we may not. We are rapidly having Global Warming which may cause all of the ice to melt, but this then may be interuppted by a predicated future Gigantic Ice Age. It seems the only thing left to do here is hide under the bed and eat ice cream until these life threatning events pass. Quote

Bookmeister Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 So, if Yellowstone did explode, then we could have our ice cream with "hot sauce", right? Quote

Hemidakota Posted January 2, 2009 Report Posted January 2, 2009 The Associated Press: Scientists eye unusual swarm of Yellowstone quakesthere are other articles, but if the super volcano in Yellowstone blows, it would take out most life across half the USA, and throw up enough soot and ash to plunge global temperatures long enough to cause near-extinction of many plants and animals.Given that an eruption is 40,000 years overdue by averages.. BOOM!First, let me laugh on the 40,000 years speculation...that is about what it is - speculation. It could of happen and then it couldn't happen. See my point? There is no known history that something did occurred there locally. Even looking at the geological model, we simply do not know it happened at the one point or just the whole earth convulsed at once. I would go with the latter. I will explained why...Looking back at Joseph Smith journal, he briefly talked about what had happened to the earth prior to our creation. What Joseph stated, the last creation did in fact ended in the earth destroying itself during animal creation period due to violations of that creation. Do you remember while reading in Abraham when he described every period the GODs, they waited until they obeyed. I will state this based on my observation on filling the prophets gap since I know he probably already said to much and was restraint from saying more based on the Spirit. When earths are created, the animal kingdom will adapt to the world. On every earth, animals are not commonly the same forms. What is a dog here, may not be a dog on another earth. Regards to human, they will always be the same. What we are now finding is the last creation's animals that we call dinosaurs and so forth. No animals that reside here are descendants from the previous earths creation. Yes! I said that....Now, we have entered into an age of volcanic instability that frequency and richer magnitude will increase until we enter a period where continents will begin to return back to there original course, mountains and valleys will return to what the early families of the earth were used too.
