I recently purchased dietary supplements (Slimquik, to be more exact) and once I got them home and was studying the package, I noticed that one of the ingredients is green tea extract. Before I start taking these things, does anyone know if this is ok, or is this something that goes against the WoW?

 HELPPPP!!

As far as the green tea in it, I don't know. I asked about drinking it from the missionaries and they told me it was not like herbal tea and we weren't supposed to drink it. AS far as taking it in a supplement, I would like this answered also!

Yes alot of caffeen, i my self have been talking it, so far i like it. but i am not affraid to admit i drink diet coke and have issues with caffeen (sorry i am a caffeen junkie). this stuff doesnt make you feel all jittery like all those other suppliments do. And do drink alot of water and stay away from anything else containg caffeen (which it sounds like you already do)

I actually look at it as a medcine. I've taken Green Tea extract in the past to boost my metabolism. When it's in a capsule form, I see it as medicine to be taken as the instructions dictate on the box. It's used as a treatement for something, and not as a recreation or a habit.

Plus it mentions hot drinks. Which going by the standard is Coffee and tea in a hot form. You're not boiling the tea or taking it as a full drink, you're using it as a suplement.

Although, only you can be the judge of your own conscious whether or not to take it.

Hi Lindsey.

I, too, take a dietary supplement to help with weight control and I thought I'd see if this helps.

I take something called PGx Daily and have found that it really helps me through the day. It's active ingredient is definitely not against the Word of Wisdom and I would highly recommend it: It's Konjac Root.

Konjac Root has 0 calories, swells to 100 times its size with the addition of water and is a fibrous concoction that turns to gel in your stomach. Take it an hour before each meal and you'll find that eating portions are much more manageable. The gel slows down digestion, eliminating sugar highs and lows and eliminates afternoon tiredness, reduces insulin resistance(Which can lead to weight gain) and lowers the cholesterol count in your body(Thanks to the type of fiber it produces).

It won't give you ridiculous weight loss(Unless you decide to take handfuls of the stuff and stop eating altogether, but that ain't healthy. ;)), but it will give you a nice, even slide without emotional highs and lows. And you'll feel better throughout the day.

I think lindseynewman is asking if the green tea is against the word of wisdom as we know today it means tea and coffee. It isn't necessarily the caffeine. I do know that green tea DOES fall in the same category as regular tea because of how it is made and also the tea leaves that it is made from.

I thought it as like herbal tea and was drinking it when my son saw it and told me NO. THen I asked around and was told the same by others.

I know the green tea in the product is for water retention according to the box. but it also says "one serving of this product contains the amount of caffeine equivalent to 2 cups of coffee"

Try ACAI its a all natural berry it helped me, I have Graves Disease and had a partial hysterectomy and the weight just piled on about 35lbs to be exact, so hormones are a big issue with women and there weight. ACAI is loaded with essential amino acids that are natural hormon balancers they help with the receptor that help your endocrine communicate with its self look up endocrine system in google image it involves all the hormones that involve our weight, it can be interupted through stress in activity, depression normal female emotions.

I have been on it for about 5 months and i seen a difference and my husband even noticed a difference in the apperance of my body without doing anything, dieting or workout. He started taking it and he had a change in his belly area, but he didnt have that big of a problem.

Also I dont sell it so im not promoting anything that I sell, you can get it off line or your local health food store , I buy it in the purest form, liquid all 100% Acia , with no other additives.

It is kind of expensive 35-36.00 for a bottle, also once you start working out you will see a difference even faster im working out every other day and im 15lbs away from my comfort zone then I can look alittle more like my old self again, and then 10lbs after that that should be about 40lbs in the end.

just send me a note if you want anymore info.

oh theres no caffine or green tea.
